Pet friendly retreat in Bodega Bay!

If you like to relax with your pup, this is the place for you! The sweet looks over the bay and is a great place to enjoy watching the boats. Leave the harbor! It’s a really cool historic building and we really enjoyed having access down to the water!

Family getaway.

Had a great time staying at the property. It was clean and had everything we needed. Family enjoyed the coziness and the quiet of the neighborhood. Hosts were friendly and very responsive. We would stay again.

A Wonderful Spot

Exactly what we needed. The weather was amazing and sitting on that wonderful deck with the view of the bay was so relaxing. We have stayed in both of the apartments but this one is my favorite. Cozy and well appointed. Will be back for sure!

Boathouse California Stay

Great Waterfront location

The place was exactly as described through the pictures and comments. Comfortable with great bay views (right on the bay). Good communication, easy check in, tricky driveway. Expensive, but my wife and I and our adult daughter really enjoyed the place! Glad we stayed here!

New Years Visit

Great property right on the water. Amazing sunsets and wildlife right off the deck. The unit could have been a little better marked, otherwise the directions to the property were spot on. Lots to explore in the area for families. We really enjoyed salmon creek beach. Would definitely stay again.

Still the best views!

We just returned from our annual mom/sisters weekend. Everything was great. The view cannot be beat. We loved a few of the changes from last year including new floors and deck furniture. See you next year!

Peaceful on the bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bodega Bay. The moment you walk into the property you are met with a view of the bay through the floor to ceiling windows over the deck. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the deck watching the kayakers and wildlife. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful home and location

Loved sitting on the deck, which is right over the water, watching all the wildlife in and around the water. We felt very at home the minute we walked in. It's minutes from so many beaches and places to explore. Steve and Krista are wonderful host and are always available if you have questions. As many have said the driveway is a little tricky to maneuver but if you follow the instructions exactly as worded you will have no problem. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect view

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and we absolutely love being right on the water. No matter the weather, the bay is enchanting. Our daughter had fun counting birds, boats, and the occasional seal throughout the weekend. Steve, the host, is easy to communicate with.

What a gem!!

This Bodega Bay VRBO is literally on the water with a great balcony and lots of windows. My midwestern family had a lot of fun watching out for sea lions, birdlife, and fishing boats during our three night stay. The rental layout and beds were comfortable, with modern amenities throughout. Hosts were friendly and helpful. A couple of grocery stores and nice restaurants were within a walkable distance. .

Another great stay

We have stayed at this property each year for numerous years. The location cannot be beat; right over the water! The house was super clean and both the property owner and cleaner asked if we needed anything. There was a lot of algae along the shore this year, but that didn't really affect our stay. We could only smell it in the morning. With such a great view from the deck, we rarely walk down the stairs to the beach anyway. We will definitely be back next year!

Sisters Trip

I traveled with 3 of my sisters. We each made comments about how amazing this place is. The view is incredible! We had no issues, all of our needs were met. The owner treated us as family, he was absolutely wonderful! Sitting out on the deck was so refreshing and relaxing. The unit was exactly as described. There was plenty of room and it was very comfortable. Check in was a snap and check out was just the same. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Peaceful perfection

I was totally impressed with the location! I will admit I was concerned because the parking directions were so specific and I couldn’t quite get a good sense of the layout from the pictures. But when we got there, everything fell into place. The driveway is daunting but easier to manage with two people in the car. The entry is a key pad which was great, no key to keep track of. It was lovely and modern inside and literally worth every penny just to be right on the freaking water. We sat on the deck with binoculars and saw tons of wildlife. We didn’t have any kids with us, but 4 grown adults were perfectly comfortable. I love visiting Bodega Bay so I hope to stay here again.

My favorite view

My 4th visit here. Love it for the views and birdwatching. Appreciate that the driveway has been newly paved and entrance to unit has sturdier wood walkway. Couldn’t find the step stool that helps us reach the dishes on the second shelf, so had to handwash things and reuse. Absense of lamps in main living/dining area made reading and relaxing less appealing. Still no grab bars in shower/tubs. The location is still my favorite in the area, so I still give it a 5 star.

Birthday reunion

What a fabulous home to stay at! The online discretion doesn’t give it justice for how “on the water” this home is. 2/3 of the home is over the water. You don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife the Bodega Bay has. We even got to watch a midair battle for a fish between an osprey and a bald eagle 20’ in front of us from the living room! The home is very convenient to the markets for food and 5 minutes to Bodega Head. The kitchen had all you needed to make great meals while you looked out at the bay. Both bedrooms were very comfortable and having two full baths is great. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone that wants to spend time on the water or heading inland to wine country or the redwoods. Eddie and Debbie

Best view/experience ever!

The house was amazingly beautiful and well stocked with all of the necessities. The owners were nice and communicating with them was easy. The place is an overall 10/10. For my honest review here are a few things that we struggled with but not a big deal. The sofa bed, id leave it for the littles. Not suitable for adults. Lol... the house had animal hair flying around and on the floors. I communicated that to the owners and they send the cleaning lady to clean it up. But nothing major to not want to stay here. The biwes were amazing. Out of all 3 properties. Unitl 1 was the best view and a the biggest deck. Id sray again!

Wonderful home right on Bodega Bay - gorgeous views.

We spent 2 days at this lovely home situated right on the bay. The scene on the porch is wonderful - lots of birds and an occasional seal could be seen and heard. Gorgeous sunsets. We could have spent a week just taking in that view. The house itself is very comfortable and well appointed. Full kitchen with all the necessary items. Very comfortable sitting area in the living room. Two bedrooms with doors with their own bathrooms. Access was easy from Route 1; follow the instructions carefully due to the somewhat steep approach to the driveway - but we did this and it was no problem. There are small step-ups in the house to the bedrooms, so probably not for someone for which this would be a problem. Two TVs and plenty of games, but we mostly read and watched the bay. I will address a few concerns raised by other guests: (1) there is plenty of hot water if you only let it run for a few minutes; (2) there is no central heating, but a nice wood-burning stove and a separate heater in each room - it was chilly out but we were nice and warm; (3) there is some noise from the unit above, specifically, those guests had a young child and you could hear them running a bit on the ceiling above. We did not find this intrusive or annoying unless it had gone on all night, which it did not. No different from most apartments and attached homes. We would most definitely stay at this lovely place again.
