Great local hotel for short term fishing getaways. 4th time staying with Roxy and she and the staff make you feel very welcome. Great on site restaurant too.

Clean and comfortable, this property had everything we needed for a great stay in Boca Chica. The WiFi and AC worked just fine and the showers were hot. The pool area is a nice place to lounge and relax. Roxy is a friendly, attentive host. She arranged a fantastic boat tour for us where we spent the day swimming at 3 beautiful islands. The property is located within walking distance to the pier. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Roxy’s for making our stay so memorable!

Dear Dennis As a traveler you know that if something isn’t good on your room, the normal situation it’s to go directly to the desk front where I will be immediately fixing the problems or giving you an upgrade of room if necessary. For this *funky* rate on this *funky* area we have the best accommodations, it seems to me like you can’t communicate normally to people. I recommend you next time go to the desk front and talk about what it’s wrong before sending a bad feedback and otherwise just spend a little more money and find a 5 star accommodation where you can feel comfortable. I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacations in panama , good luck.

Clean and comfortable for a night in Boca Chica
Enjoyed our one night stay in Boca Chica proper at the Roxy. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lack of hot water was not an issue, since the water out of the tap was relatively warm. We had some concerns about the attached bar being overly noisy, but it wasn't. It closes at 10 and was a convenient place to grab dinner and a beer.

The property was fine but extremely noisy. Loud bar music went on well into the night. Fireworks were shot off in the courtyard which was unexpected and frightening.

Thanks for your feedback. Panamenian culture its about music, celebrations usually has fireworks. Its normal here specially on birthdays. The music at the bar was normal, nobody else complain since was a Marichi ( mexican music) band playing for the owner of the hotel bday.

This was an awesome place for many many reason...it was clean..it was modern..it was comfortable..location was great..but the best was..it was welcoming! I can't express that enough, from check in to check out it was a wonderful experience.

Excellent staff and service. Roxy the owner is wonderful. Nice evening area by the pool and met other guests and had great pizza. We had a great time and the tour to the beaches we would highly recommend. We saw Dolphins on our return trip! This is a great place to stay with your small children as well. Thank you to Roxy & staff, for a wonderful experience.

Okay if you want to go fishing or snorkeling.
Only if you want to go fishing you might stay there. Was like a lower class Motel 6. Nice little pool but nothing special. I think there was only one other room with someone in it. NOTHING special at all about the food and not much of a choice to eat somewhere else.

Thank you for your feedback. For future readers of expedia.com and hoteles.com, we want to point out that we are in the middle of the fishing village and not on the island where the resorts are. Our price is among the lowest in Boca Chica because we offer simple accomodadions but with all you need for a nice stay, air conditioned, hot water, wi-fi, safe box, tv cable etc. Boca Chica offers around 10 restaurants around, you can go and have a great meal. At the desk front we have all the information our guest Require and we even offer transportation to the other restaurants. We do provide different tours every day so our guest can enjoy the beautifull islads, surroundings and nature. I think for an average traveler this option is really good.

nice hotel,resturant pretty good, which works since there is only 1 maybe two in area,pizza party at pool was good, i was unable to find other boats for less money which was my primary goal, the cab ride from david and back too high $110 might not be worth the ride ,but once u get there things reasonable priced or lower

Staff really feels like family!
From the moment we booked, everyone was so helpful! From the quick responses to my countless questions and emails, to bending over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Roxy and her staff really went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and special! When we first arrived Nori (who is the sweetest) had our room decorated with flower petals, and champagne!! I had mentioned it was our honeymoon and well they really out did themselves!! Kenneth who is the BEST really became our personal tour guide, fishing pal, and was always working to keep everything in tip top shape. We can not thank him enough for all his time and attentiveness. Roxy and her family were so welcoming, kind and the sweetest we had the best time there!!! We left feeling like part of the Boca Chica family and will definitely be back!!

What is important in life.
The accommodations were modest and clean. Norti checked us in and was most helpful and pleasant. Took a walk down the road to the marina but were unable to negotiate a reasonable boat ride/fishing trip. After we settled in, did laundry, went to the market and had a wounderful dinner Liriola was our sweet server. Regretfully never made it to the disco that night. The next morning Roxy “And she’s kinda cute” the owner shows up and a great stay just gets better. She says what do you mean your not going out on a boat? She gets on the phone and immediately books us a very reasonable boat tour of the surrounding islands. Afterward attends to our every question and inquiry. So to answer the question What’s important in life? Giving Roxy the credit she is due and revealing the perfect little gem or just keeping it for ourselves? The Truth Roxy Rocks.

Great for fishing tours, super pizza and fun bar!
Was great fishing, awesome team, good boat and tackle. Great pizza at night and the bar next door is really fun, lots of locals share a beer with the tourist, Defenely going to come back.

Thanks for taking your time and send us your review. Since we are located in the middle of this small village on the carnivals high season dates its impossible to stop the music. Its a happy panamenian tradition!! Some people love to enjoy this , some others of course find it terrible. We recommend to research the hotels before booking. Boca Chica has beautiful resorts on the islands, without real panamenian life style, just nature to enjoy. Good luck next time.

Noisy, No Sleep,Loud neighborhood!Not reccomended.
Clean rooms but staying here we could not sleep at all! The house directly in front, on side and down the street BLAST music once night comes until 3am, 4am. Towns people gather at Roxys drinking & yelling starting sundown each night we were there- this seemed a normal thing. This should be a bar not a hotel as sleeping is out of the question. it was Mid-week! Can't even imagine a weekend!?! We left a night early as we had 2 nights of no sleep! Food prices very expensive too. Advice: Take 3$ boat/3min. ride to Hotel Boca Brava instead for great beautiful location, cheap and good food & nice people.

Sorry guys, you visited Boca Chica on the carnival dates were the all town celebrates and plays music. This is a panamenian tradition cant stop it. Many people come to see this celebrations others can just go to the beautiful and quiet resorts nearby. Sorry again.

Gracias por su tiempo al valorar su estancia con nosotros, lamentablemente en un pueblito tan pequeño, es imposible tener cero ruido. Le recomendamos la próxima ver la localidad de los hoteles dependiendo de sus necesidades, así, aunque pagara mucho más estará hospedado en un lugar alejado del ruido, hay muchas opciones en las islas alrededor de Boca chica.

Roxy is een aangename, attente uitbaatster. Kamer aangenaam, goede bedden goed verzorgd. Badkamer laat de wensen over, onaangename geur en douche aan vervanging toe. Goed verzorgd zwembad en zwemgedeelte. Restaurant superdruk op een vrijdag avond, maar vooral dankzij chef (ongezien +++++) en de interventie van Roxy is alles nog binnen redelijke tijd goedgekomen. Prijs wat aan de hoge kant in vergelijk met rest van Panama en dan is er nog geen ontbijt in prijs.

Thanks for staying with us, unfortunately about loud music its normal during panamenian holidays. Sometimes is a rooster, a dog or just nature. Normal on Latin culture.

Excelente para descansar y conocer islas hermosas
El hotel está bien localizado, la carretera de acceso está en buenas condiciones. Las instalaciones son buenas, 8 habitaciones, cómodas, muy limpias, aire acondicionado y ventilador, caja fuerte; piscina disponible. La atención por parte de su propietaria es excelente, muy agradable y servicial. Amigables con las mascotas. Hay servicio de restaurante, buenas opciones de desayuno. También hay parqueo. Fui con mi familia y nos sentimos muy cómodos y seguros. Con el hotel se pueden adquirir los Tours a las islas (son preciosas). Buena relación calidad precio. El hotel queda muy cerca al embarcadero, de donde se sale para las islas.
