Lucky Trout Lodge

"This was our first time staying at the Lucky Trout Lodge (formerly Lindsey's Resort) on the Little Red River but it will not be our last! We've decided to make it a "weekend get-away" favorite! The view of the fog rising off of the river was so peaceful. Even though we didn't catch a trout...listening to the trout hit the water-top while watching the river roll by this newly redone dock touched my soul! We enjoyed it so much that we asked Courtney if she had an open room so we could stay an extra day! The grounds are well maintained and the pool was nice! The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable! There are grills all over the property for guests to use and refrigerators in rooms! Now...the restaurant is currently under construction but be patient with them as they grow! I know we'll be excited to try it when we return."

"The facility was excellent. My family enjoyed the outdoor and indoor facilities very much. Between the two buildings it accommodated my group of 14. The host was very responsive to inquiries. The ability to dock a boat was also very accommodating in that one of my guest brought a boat. Between the two parking areas, we were able to park five vehicles. Due to the hillside location and the narrow roads with tight turns, I would not suggest attempting to park a boat trailer in the upper parking area. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay. One of my group suggested it would be a great place to celebrate Christmas! Thank you for a very enjoyable weekend!"

"The house is nice, just be aware the drive way is concrete leading down to it. The deck is awesome being able to see the lake peeking through the woods. Watch your pets while on the deck, the slates on railing are close but small and slender dogs can get through them, deck is high from the ground. The property is nice, peaceful and pretty quiet. Nice cut trail to access the lake."

"The check-in lady & check out lady were both friendly... but the guy that came in after our check-in lady left, was not very friendly and a bit rude & cocky! We wenr to tell him there was no ice in the upstairs machine, & he just kinda chuckled and said: yeah, sometimes it's like that! Sonetimes it works_ bit just go downstairs and get your ice there! There was a lady that was constantly smoking in front of our car, everytime we would leave to go out! And there were cigarette butts everywhere! The room was nice & clean_ but had a musky odor! The waffles, yogurt,oats, fresh friut, juice, & coffee were a good continental breakfast."

"This place was extravagant! Looks exactly like the pictures. They had all of the items you left at home! Like tape, lighter, towels, plates, etc. Perfect spot to jump off the rocks! We will be back!"
