Location great, accommodations ok.
Convenient to town & shopping. Quiet, nice view. Stair to second floor had very narrow treads and was difficult to get luggage up and down safely. Room was a nice size and had an ocean view, but it needed a little cleaning and touch up painting.

A nice overnight stay.
We had a very nice day at the Anchor House. It is within walking distance to the main part of town. Also the breakfast is very good at the 1661 house which is a slight walk up the street. Highly recommend

Cute room. Pleasantly surprised it had a refrigerator. Very clean. Could have offered more toiletries. We would stay again for sure.

The property we stayed in was far away from the main hotel..no view...no amenities..will never stay here again

We are sorry to see that you did not enjoy your stay. However, we don't advertise that the Anchor House has a view as it certainly doesn't and it is just down the street several hundred yards from the main property. We do hope that overall you enjoyed your trip to the Island.

This property has an excellent location near ferry and town, yet is quiet and very comfortable. Peek-a-boo ocean view from room is nothing special, but everything else was spot on.

We had a great stay on the island-we had gone back to see and visit/ we had always visited and stayed on a sailboat in great salt pond- first time staying on land and it was very nice- plan on returning

Overall, it was an great experience. It was disappointing that a $300 room, didn't have a phone, wifi and the door key didn't work. The Anchor House felt like a neglected second property.

We are happy to see that overall you had a great time staying with us. Our rooms do not have telephones and several of our properties do not offer wifi, but we are very clear about that on our website and in our confirmation letters. The key definitely should have worked and we're sorry about the inconvenience. We also try to be clear that are "off property" standard rooms do not compare to the rooms on property and are priced significantly less but we're sorry that this wasn't clear to you. We hope to welcome you back to our main property on your next visit!

Great Stay
We had a great stay at the Anchor House. You cannot beat the location. Having access to 1661 for breakfast and after wine/nibbles is a huge selling point. The view at breakfast is gorgeous!

Good stay. Fun. Good location. Quiet
Overall had a very nice day at the anchor inn the staff and the service was very good the room was big enough for my three day stay the room that I was in didn’t have any sort of view of the water because the trees were too high or the bushes were too high but the room was very nice and in a very good location away from the town and off where it was more quiet but close enough to walk a quarter-mile. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and complementary from 8 AM to 10 AM with beautiful views of the water at the 1661 inn

Great location - just steps from town but still quiet and quaint. A short (1 min) walk from the 1661 Inn where you check-in. They have a great breakfast included at 1661 Inn (with safety precautions for social distancing) and a nice cheese & wine happy hour each day at 4pm. Our room was small but perfect for a long weekend and had everything we needed! We will definitely come back.

Amazing getaway spot!
I secretly didn’t want to post a review because this place is just so perfect, I hate to share my new favorite place so it gets too overcrowded! Jokes aside, my boyfriend and I were blown away with the quality of service we received from start to finish. Our room was in a separate building and it was quaint and quiet with a waterfront view! They even let us into our room 4 hours before check in. The breakfast was beyond amazing. A full hot breakfast spread and UNLIMITED MIMOSAS? It was nicer than many breakfasts I’ve paid for in the past! The dining area is picturesque and I know we will be back soon.

Homey place with great complimentary breakfast at the 1661 Inn. We had a nice room on the 2nd floor with water views. Easy access to the main town. Because they are affiliated with the 1661 House you are also entitled to free wine and cheese from 4-5PM at the Inn.

Recommend Anchor House, Block Island, RI
We enjoyed stay at the Anchor House. Anchor House is a short walk to Old Harbor. Guests get a discount at Aldo’s Bike Rentals. The included breakfast at 1661 Inn was fabulous! Only negative is no WiFi, although WiFi on the island is spotty at best.
