I always love staying in Casa Mia when in Blantyre. It feels like home, with very comfortable rooms and a smaller feel. But yet you have all the benefits of a main hotel: delicious restaurant, a pool, great service and centrally located. Highly recommend.

Casa Mia has now become my home away from home, the excellent care and attention to detail from the staff and the owners is worth coming back to again and again. I came for a business trip but left with friends. Can't wait to be back here again.

Thanks you so much for this, after covid business is so low that we cannot yet afford new staff, more over that our room rates are halved just in order to maintain cash flow but we are working on this. The one flickering light was just a bulb and it was replaced

Rooms are adequately spacious, WiFi is fairly good throughout the property. Staff are friendly. Delicious lunch and dinner options at the restaurant in addition to the breakfast options.

Very nice property hidden away in a peaceful area in Blantyre. The restaurant is excellent with a continental menu. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The airport shuttle is reasonably priced.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room. Hot shower with good pressure. Reliable Wifi connection. Good breakfast choices and excellent restaurant in the evening. The option of eating on the porch was appreciated. Quiet in the evening. During the one day where we stayed around there was construction noise as they are adding rooms.

Good overnight business stay
Stayed at Casa Mia overnight on a business trip. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great quiet location with a lovely restaurant and clean rooms. They have mosquito nets which is great, spraying your room and wardrobe is still necessary - I would have prefer odourless mosquito spray.

Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and i arrived one day after my original date of booking. the hotel staff was nice and wanted to help. told me, we wish to refund you for the first night but since you made your booking through hotels.com you should approach them. we can give you one free night next time you'll stay. since i have no idea when i will be back, i approached hotels.com customer service, they asked the hotel and then the hotel didn't want to refund me. its not nice and i didn't like it. if the hotel have no problem as the staff said to refund or compensate me because my flight was delayed why now they don't agree to refund me for one night?! that's my only concern and feedback i have about the hotel. i had a different impression and i hope that after reading this feedback they will change and agree to refund me. prefer that on one free night next visit because i don't know when i will visit Blantyre again.

Wonderful small quaint place to stay just on the outskirts of busy Blantyre. Relaxing to come back to at the end of every day....loved the staff and their outside veranda for breakfast, lunch and dinner was my favorite.

Lovely setting and neighbourhood, nice pool and great restaurant. Room was a tad tired and could do with a repaint but was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Staff were excellent!

Good location near centre of old town (if you have a car). Rooms floors are a bit tired, pool water a bit green.

Thanks so much for your comments. At the beginning of the rainy season, as we are now. The first lightening and rain always cause a change in the pool ( as it does everywhere)We treat this with a pool chemical and it resolves in a couple of days

Nice friendly hotel. Food in restaurant is excellent. Wifi a bit patcy in the room but this may have been because I was in furthest room from main hotel. If you are checking out early, clear your bill the night before to avoid delays.

Comfortable hotel with good food.
We liked this place. It's safe, clean and comfortable. The only glitch was that we were supposed to have a couch in the room, and there was only a bed and a desk. The food is consistently quite good.

Would stay again.
Overall welcoming and functional. Ensuite needs regrouting and would benefit from shower mat. Bed net is awkward as other hotels had walkin nets. Restaurant food quality good and staff friendly. Pool furniture is worn but these are minor gripes as for Malawi.

A somewhat disappointing experience
We had booked three rooms. One of them was occupied, and as an alternative, a recently painted and strongly smelling room was offered, which we refused. The third room offered was not very good, but we accepted. Mosquito nets in the rooms were in poor condition, and not covering the beds very well. The restaurant is good - if you eat ordinary food. We had two vegans with us and had informed the hotel in advance, but what they were offered was not impresssive. Staff is friendly and the location is convenient and safe.

Oasis in the heart of Blantyre
This is a great oasis in the city of Blantyre. The staff are truly superb and setting is lovely. They have a huge menu full of fantastic food that is beautifully cooked (if anything the menu could be reduced as too much choice). There is a nice atmosphere about it - it's a great place to meet people or just relax and chill.

Should be 2* <hotel<3*,definitely not 4* hotel as advertised, you couldn't judge a book by its cover( the "outfit" of the hotel looks spotless and smart but room ceiling a bit worn out, water in the shower was a bit weak, struggled to have a decent shower

The staff is more then helpfull and very friendly. The reception organized a pick and and helped us gettong to the hotel. All went quickly and smooth. Thanks for this! The restaurant offers excellent food and breakfast is very good. We stayed only for one night and booked a standard double room, which was not worth the money (about 90$) at all!! The standard rooms (we gor to see 2) are very small and super dark and situated at the last corner of the hotel. From the first room which we had, the view was a wall, which made it even more dark. We would not recommend the standard rooms since the price for this room type is defenitely way to high. That is a lil frustrating when you pay so much for a room which would be worth half of the price, but probably you pay for the name or other facilities... The other rooms seemed in better shape, so if chosing casa mia then better go for the better rooms. We can def. recommend the restaurant, the food is excellent and we would love to come back again. All in all it was a plesure staying their because of the breakfast and lunch and the friendly staff.
