Great family gathering place.

The house is fabulous. It had really high end furnishings. We had 30 family members and we were all comfortable. The large dining family was great for family meals and our family bingo night. Laura was a great hostess. We highly recommend this place.

Family Christmas 2024

Our group of 11 adults absolutely loved the property. The rooms were large and well appointed. The extra large dining tables were perfect for family meals and game nights. We enjoyed both the hot tub and pool (heated for our stay at extra cost). The game room inside was a big hit with the family and used constantly. The kitchen was excellent with wonderful appliances and plenty of dishes to accommodate all of our needs. (Two dish washers were very much appreciated!) Overall it was a huge hit and we'd happily rent the property again.

Team Retreat

For the second time, our work team and spouses spent a few days together at this wonderful property for our annual team retreat. We’ve stayed at a few other places, but this one seems to be our favorite! The ease of working with the owners, the quiet location, the stunning views, and the wonderful home are the perfect combination! We can’t say enough great things about this place! I’m certain we will return.

Fabulous Family Thanksgiving

We enjoyed our stay at The Blanco Valley Lodge. From the beginning of the booking process through our checkout, everything was seamless. Laura was always responsive and went the extra mile to answer our requests, she also checked on us via text during our stay to see if we needed anything. The property is fantastic and they have thought of everything you might need. There is room to spread out and something for everyone. We highly recommend this property for your next getaway. Perfect family reunion gathering spot!

Blanco Valley Lodge was the perfect location and set up for our family reunion! It had an ideal layout of bedrooms/beds/baths to host several families and offered enough privacy and space for the weekend. The beds/linens are high quality, and we found the entire home thoughtfully decorated and stocked with what we needed. The property is private, yet conveniently located in the middle of several towns to get out for some local adventures. We found it is easy to communicate with the property owner to answer any questions. We will definitely find a reason to come back!

Amazing Property for Large Group

We held a large family reunion at the property. The house/guest house combo was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Lack of water in the river made us so happy we had a place with a great pool. Kitchen and eating area are definitely highlights. Plenty of space for up to 30 people to relax and take in the Texas hill country. Communication from the owner was timely and helpful throughout. Would definitely come back here.

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect

PERFECT property for our team offsite. The home and casita are well stocked with just about anything you can think of needing. The dining area was spacious and ideal for our indoor activities. The property is very large with the Blanco river running past it. The pool, hot tub, fire pits, game room--all great hits with our team. Massive double freezer, large fridge and an ICE MAKER! The owners are VERY helpful and communication was excellent. The PERFECT place for a team offsite, family reunion, country wedding or simply a gathering of friends. I cannot emphasize enough the great experience we had at the Blanco Valley Lodge.

Host was great, Vrbo needs improvement !

The Host Laura and David were great and communicated with us several times. Beautiful property and well kept. I was disappointed with my communication with Vrbo, no response e-mail wise or telephone wise. The host came to in to save the day. Vrbo in my opinion can certainly stand some improvement in their operations ! HE

Paradise in the Blanco

This property is hands-down the BEST place for a large group. We had six families during our visit. The main house is so spacious, it felt like we were at a private resort. The pool and hot tub are exquisite. The deer arrive at dinnertime each night on cue. The playground was a hit. The gameroom and bunk room were the perfect place for the kids to relax and get away from the parents. The kitchen is equipped to feed an army. And the ice machine is just the icing on the cake. We had so much fun, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!!!

wonderful outdoors

We had a wonderful stay here for our daughter's wedding that was held at nearby Camp Lucy. This property backs onto the river with wonderful outdoor seating, eating and recreation.The large kitchen and game room were perfect for hosting our large family. Unfortunately, one of the freezers was broken. The owner sent someone over immediately and then when it couldn't be fixed, offered to replace it the next day! Unfortunately, the dryer was also broken but we didn't need it until the end of our stay. Possibly need a little more attention to appliances before a large group comes to stay but otherwise we had a wonderful time.

Absolute gorgeous property!! This home accommodated family and friends for a college graduation celebration. The isolated location made for a peaceful retreat yet still only 8 minutes away from the main town. Highly recommend for large gatherings with each room providing multiple beds and perfect for multiple families. Laura is a gracious host and very responsive to any concerns or requests. Would love to stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation get-together!

This house provided plenty of areas for our group to gather together for meals and socializing, but other areas are available if more privacy or quiet time is needed. The house is large but still feels comfortable and cozy. Plenty of indoor entertainment available, esp since we had some rain. Excellent kitchen accommodations made it easy for us to fix 3 meals a day. The outdoor spaces also did not disappoint. Great pool, 2 firepits, hot tub, and river access gave us many options for entertainment. The host provided helpful information ahead of time for us to plan our trip and was responsive when we had questions during our stay. Our group would consider returning to this property again!
