The Copperhead Lodge left me stranded! As per the rules of the property, I called the day before I was to check in, since they wouldn't have Front Desk staff on site at the time I was going to arrive, and I would still need to get in. Everytime I called-- the day prior, the morning of my trip, at pit stops -- I got the same voicemail that said they were busy with other customers. All of these calls were placed during their listed Front Desk hours. They never called me back. I had to scramble to find another hotel for that night. I called the Lodge twice the next morning shortkly after their Front Desk hours started and the same. Contacted Expedia and they called them and got no answer. Conveniently, they were able to respond when Expedia was going to force them to refund my money! This hotel is a scam business, and I'm sure they do this to many people. TRAVELER BEWARE!

The location was beautiful and very private. The manager was available if not in person via phone. Some small changes would make a big difference: nightstands on both sides of the bed, packages of powdered creamer for coffee, and a hot tub for off season. Our toilet seat was cracked, so more attentive to some details.

The area is beautiful, the hotel is nice, I wish they would do something about the carpet, replace or clean, it smells funky the whole room because of that, I work in that are I would stay in there every week, but the smell is too much, the room was nice and it was quit there

Beautiful setting! Quiet and relaxing. We were the ONLY ones in the Lodge, however. We never saw another person, not a guest or any staff member.

We'll be back!
We've stayed here twice and have loved both visits. A quiet area, easy to find and a beautiful setting. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable! Not far from town for food and shopping. We will def be booking with them again!

Love the property and will stay there again. Off season prices were so low that I was worried but the rooms were super clean and cute. Very happy! We checked in after hours and a check-in packet was waiting for us. The picture of the layout of the lodge was tiny and blurry so hard to read. The office appeared closed and locked our entire visit but we finally figured out they had left the back door to the lodge open so we could get more coffee and tissue paper. Would be nice to have they explained in the packet before we went to WalMart to buy more coffee. Also, the bathroom door in one of our rooms would not latch and popped open each time someone came or went from the room. Other than that we really enjoyed the lodge and would definitely love to stay there again.

You Get What You Pay For
The property is gorgeous and my room was cozy. I had difficulty checking in, as it was after hours and no one would answer the phone. I finally found the key to my room in an envelope outside with my name on it. The driveway to the rooms is not marked or lit, so that was a bit confusing as well. I stayed 5 nights and only discovered fresh cups, linens, etc. upon check out. Which was also when I saw a staff member for the first time. The restaurant/lounge is not open, and the rooms do not have microwaves, so I had pb&j for Christmas. Its more like an Air B&B than a resort/lodge. I enjoyed visiting Helen, NC, and TN. And the clean coziness of the room was nice. But it was definitely not what I expected at all. The other guests were a bit loud, and they smoked next to the building (which I could smell). All in all not a terrible experience, but definitely would not stay here alone again as I felt very unsafe with no staff there and the area being so poorly lit.

Traveling for work. Very nice place. It was not hard ro find as one reviewer stated. The room was clean and comfortable. When I turned the heater on it did smell a little like animal urine. Some febrezze from my truck and all was good. Even with that i would stay here again.

This wasn't a lodge, it was more like an abandoned building. Never saw staff, lodge was never open or staffed regardless of the time or day I checked. Room didn't have any hot water for 2 days, staff took 4hrs before they responded and never updated me on the water situation. I was supposed to get a refund but they never responded to my emails. No ice, my room shared a door with an adjoining room and I could EVERY noise, EVERY TV show and EVERY crying toddler all day and all night. No where to sit besides the bed. Dust and cobwebs on the headboard and phone, tub wasn't clean. The bed was very comfortable but the AC/Heat was very extremely loud.

The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again, if needed, now that we know where it's located. We had difficulty finding it because there isn't a sign in front of property saying "Copperhead Lodge". You need to drive past the cabins to the back of the property to the Lodge & down to the lower level. The staff is very friendly and acommodating.

Beautiful stay in the mountains
It was the weekend before Halloween.The check in was easy and the staff very pleasent. The room was small, as expected, and very nice except the comforter could have used an extra washing. It was gorgeous land and very quiet. It is a good location between Blue Ridge and Blairsville. I would stay there again.

"Deluxe" rm?? Not hardly -- small, no extra chair/table. Wrote clean me" in dust on lamp table shelf. View of river?? If you walked to it. Somehow missed notification that restaurant had been closed (for a year). So--adequate, especially for the price, but prob won't return.
