Family & Pet Friendly Retreat in Blairsden-Graeagle

Look no further! Eagle's Nest has it all. Conveniently located within a 1 minute drive to Plumas Pines Golf Course and only a 3 minute drive to town, our home is nestled on almost a half acre of land just large enough for the kids to explore and make memories with.

There is a host of activities to do in the immediate surrounding area like golfing, dining, hiking, fishing, kayaking, sightseeing, horseback riding etc. A little further of a drive (about 40 minutes) and you can check out the hot springs in Sierraville (enjoying the beautiful scenic drive along the way!) An even further drive (1-2 hours) and you can visit Reno, or Lake Tahoe for the day.

Eagle's Nest is beautifully furnished to make you feel comfortable in your home away from home so you feel relaxed when you get home after a day of golfing or exploring. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, all towels/linens, and a smart tv with DVD player and over 100 DVD titles to choose from, along with complimentary Netflix login.

The fun doesn't stop when you come back to your vacation rental. We like to make the home a retreat in itself with plenty of things to do to prevent boredom. We are happy to say that we have plenty of board games and DVD's to choose from along with a disc golf basket, cornhole, horseshoe pit, Hammock, Ping Pong Table, Lounge Chairs, and dart board located on the property. We are constantly adding more fun, so remember to always check back with us for future vacations to see what's been added!

Bedroom Setup: 2 Twins in smallest guestroom, 2 Queens in 2nd Guestroom and 1 Queen in Master Bedroom. Each bedroom has a plug-in fan in case you need to keep cool in the summer, there is no AC in the house. 2 of the the bedrooms and living room are also equipped with Electric heaters for the winter months in addition to the main house heater.

Want to bring along your dogs? You are welcome to, we have a large fenced in portion of the yard for you to let the doggies roam without fear of running off. We do ask that you do not leave your dogs outside unattended or leave them unattended inside for long periods of time during the day. Please also make sure to clean up after them.

Perfect getaway

We absolutely love the Graegle-Blairsden area and try to take trips as often as possible. The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Our dogs had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. We would absolutely book again!

Lovely home with great amenities

Great place to stay for a family, the house included many amenities for the price. The ad was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything you needed for a weekend getaway with your family. I'm a big nba fan and the basketball hoop in the driveway was a great way to spend time with family. Thanks again!

Love this home!

This was our 2nd time staying in this home, and it’s perfect for our family! We love the fenced in yard for our dog, the gorgeous back patio, and the various outdoor games available in the garage. We love the convenience of this home for our annual Graeagle vacation!

House in the mountains

Directions were easy to follow. Lockbox had key and easy to access. Owners should monitor cleaning crew to make sure they do what they are scheduled to do.

Christmas in the Lost Sierras

Great stay again with Carrie. Very good location for visiting family and taking nearby hikes with my dogs. The yard is very secure and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. No snow this year but we got some good hikes and walks in. Thanks again. HG

The owner has prepared a wonderful welcome binder will plenty of good information on the local area. Wifi was available and easy to use. Fun movies for down time. Clean bathroom and linens, even extra blankets and instructions for the heating unit!

Mountain Retreat

Beautiful area for mountain get-away. Owner kept us informed of weather and house features before our visit. Inside house is an informational book which provides area information. Walked the neighborhood and it is beautiful with golf course. Close to Twenty Mile house, where private events on held. We attended a wedding and greatly appreciated a short drive there and back!

Nice spot for a couple day getaway

This spot is quiet and comforting. If you’re looking for a basic spot that has tailored amenities for children this is a good spot. We have a 2.5 year old and she loved it. A little disappointed by the backyard weed growth since we were unable to use the backyard at all, again having a toddler who loves running around this was a let down, I don’t know if you visit earlier in the season it would be better. WiFi was ok to bad but that’s to be expected from this area in the Forrest. Overall we were satisfied with our stay, the host is super responsive and friendly so that made up for anything negative we experienced.

Excellent Base Camp for Graeagle

The house and property is well situated in a quiet neighborhood. The house is straightforward and has plenty of room for a large family. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with cookware and basic spices etc. We hiked in the lakes basin area and used our kayaks on Lake Davis (road to Gold Lake and Salmon Lake was still closed due to snow) The large fenced in area was perfect for our two dogs. We had an issue with the clothes washer. The owner was quick to respond and was very helpful to resolve the issue. We would stay at the house again.

Best Thanksgiving Ever!

This property is absolutely perfect for a getaway in this beautiful area. It is one of our favorites. It was nice and clean, the fridge was huge! The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The host responded quickly to questions. Wifi worked great. We spent thanksgiving here, and even though I packed some things from my kitchen, we would've had everything we needed as this kitchen is stocked perfectly. We love this area and always come up whenever we can. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and so did my family. We had our small dog with us because she's easy and just sleeps most of the time, but may bring the bigger ones up next time too. We'd love to come back when it's warmer out to enjoy the fun garage games, and the deck and back yard. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Great home to enjoy the Lost Sierra’s with family.

I had a wonderful stay and Carrie was very accommodating before and during my stay. The house was immaculate and well appointed for a stay with family with pets. While I was traveling alone, I was able to host family for some dinners and evenings together. The kitchen had all the amenities for preparing meals for get togethers and the den/family area was inviting and comfortable. The yard is very secure with a high cedar fence for my pups to enjoy the snow and outdoors without concern for their safety. The interior living areas are wood like flooring making cleanup from snowy excursions easy. The large garage made unloading and loading easy in the weather and all the streets approaching and around the neighborhood were maintained for snow removal which meant I was also able to safely get a good run in during my stay when weather permitted. The area has convenient access for hiking and exploring and the neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. I would definitely stay here in the future. Thanks again. HG

Great location to everything!

4 evergreen... the best name for this location. Right across the way from a beautiful golf course. Even if you’re not a golfer it’s a beautiful area to walk through. Down the way you can find restaurants, bars and cutesy stores in town. Several lakes, hiking areas available within a short drive. This house has a lot of potential. Master bedroom separated from the other two bedrooms by the kitchen and living area make for good privacy. Large porch with loungers and bbq for entertaining space. Frisbee golf, basketball hoop (bring your own basketball, one not provided), darts and several board games are available. Two TVs and several DVD’s which are crucial for when you stay in since there is no internet access and cell reception will be slim to none. If you’re looking for a break from everyone it’s great! Departure chores are typical; wash towels, strip beds, take out trash, wipe down counters. Surprisingly there is still a $175 cleaning fee. Ouch, on top of a decent stay rate. Strongly suggest getting a new cleaning service, entire house had a thick coat of dust on everything and if the last person that had cleaned it was the previous guests I wouldn’t be surprised. They do allow pets which could be the trade off. It can get very warm during summer, it was 95 all weekend and with no AC it was pretty hot in the house. Didn’t cool down much at night either. The fans offered a little relief. They do have a furnace for winter in the living area. If this were my rental I would provide kayaks, paddles boards, hiking gear. There’s great space in the garage for more recreational activities. Pros: pets, location, layout, entertaining space, BBQ, entertainment items Cons: no internet, high cleaning fee, poor cell reception, cleanliness, no AC
