"Impressive property with beautiful views of Loch Long. Well appointed, comfortable room and bed. Friendly reception on arrival and throughout the short stay. Really tasty dinner (reservations recommended) and breakfast, both served in really impressive wood-panelled drawing room. I wouldn't hesitate to return here, really enjoyed the stay and would like to thank the team for their part in it."

"Lavender Lodge was a great base for exploring the area. We had lots of useful recommendations of places to visit from our hosts, who made us very welcome. We had a very comfortable stay with our black Labrador. The Lodge was clean and well-equipped with an excellent shower-room. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who went ‘the extra mile’ for us."

"I stayed with my parents for a week in Dunbheag Cottage in September. It was simply stunning. The quality of fixtures and fittings were the best I have ever seen in a rental. The property was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need for a stay. Comfortable beds and quality bedding too. We were lucky to have a few beautiful days where we could sit on the deck and just watch the boats on the loch. I wanted to explore this part of Scotland but it was hard to tear yourself away from that view!. A fabulous week was had and I would love to return."

"A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"

"We are just back from a week staying in Amber Lodge and would highly recommend it to others. The lodge was spotless on arrival and set up to be very comfortable with everything we needed for a weeks stay. The balconies were a lovely spot to have morning coffee and watch the wildlife, plus, being enclosed meant it was a worry free place for our dog to be with us. We had a lovely view of the Holy Loch too. The wood burner was especially nice in the evenings as we had some damp weather and could cosy up to watch movies. We did not use many facilities on the site but the walk to the pub/restaurant was manageable and we spotted deer on the way. The owner was incredibly kind and communicative when needed and directions to the lodge from the ferry were easy to follow."
