Everything was OK
The Hotel was not quite was I was expecting, which is partially my fault, as I hadn't look at the last photo on the Hotel.com's website due to a poor connection on my phone. The Hotel is basically a village pub on a main road with 6 bedrooms. Everything was OK, but expensive when compared to others in the area.

Food was average and rooms tired with well used bed. Very noisy due to main road and poor shower. Fail to see how this had positive reviews which was why i chose it!!!

I'm sorry you felt you stay wasn't up to scratch. We are on a main truck road, but with the windows closed, the noise is normally much reduced. I will review your other points with our housekeeping team. Thank you for taking the time to review us.

Great place to stay
Great pub with friendly staff and locals. The young ladies running the bar and the dining room were a delight, as was the young man looking after breakfast. The room was clean, well maintained and met all expectations. Parking was good and the area well worth exploring. The only issue was finding the place as the address on the system was not meaninful for people unfamiliar with the area. Having a wrong phone number in the system ( or the confirmation) didn't help either.

Personnels tres gentils et excellent service. Par contre, vraiment tres bruillant (circulation toute la nuit) et odeur peu agréable dans la chambre. Le meilleur déjeuner que nous avons eu et la gentillesse du personnel vaut plus que les désagréments.

The road noise is always something we have to content with, and in the summer months when guests prefer to windows open, it is definitely a challenge. The double glazing does make a difference when the windows are closed. I can only apologies for the smell in the room, had we been aware, I could have asked housekeeping to investigate, or moved you to another room. Hope you enjoy the rest of your visit to Scotland!
