  • Welcome to Birch Bayside Retreat! Newly renovated Mid-Century Modern 2 bed home, the perfect place to kick back & relax. Just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, Birch Bay State Park and the famous C-Shop.

    Equipped with vaulted ceilings, an upscale kitchen w/ a gas range, wood burning fireplace, Smart TV's throughout and a large outdoor entertainment area to use year-round.

    Whether you are a couple working remotely or with kids, this is the perfect getaway for both long & short term stays

    The Birch Bayside Retreat is a West Coast Inspired single level bungalow with a Mid Century flair. It recently went through an extensive renovation to bring this beautiful 60’s home back to life. It has been tastefully designed to create a a relaxing and comfortable space for our guests.

    Property Details:

    Accommodation: Our well laid out single level bungalow offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests. The serene master bedroom has a comfortable King size bed and luxurious linens. The stylish second bedroom is furnished with a Queen size Endy mattress and pillows. Both bedrooms are equipped with Smart TV's for ultimate comfort and relaxation.

    Outdoor Living: Best of all, our home has a large covered patio furnished with a large dining table, a Blackstone grill for all your culinary needs and also a wood burning firepit with Adirondack chairs for night time entertainment. Smores anyone?

    Modern Amenities: Stay connected with high-speed WI-FI, enjoy your favorite shows on the Smart TV's throughout and in-suite laundry. Birch Bayside Retreat a record player and Bluetooth speaker to play your choice of music to help set the mood.

    Games / Beach Closet: Outside in the backyard we've created a "Beach and Games closet" for our guests to enjoy. Please use anything provided to stay entertained during your stay!

    Birch Bayside Retreat has been thoughtfully stocked and supplied by expert hosts to assist with making your stay comfortable and stress free. For anything additional, including food, restaurants, gift shops, etc the community of Birch Bay is all within walking distance.

Great Family House

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and well stocked. I especially liked the open kitchen and outdoor fire pit. Very walkable neighborhood, close to beach, restaurants and grocery store. This is our second time to the house and would book again.

Perfect long weekend getaway

We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals but this one might be my favourite. The decor was perfect, modern and comfortable. Sometimes the places that will accept dogs are not the best but that was not the case here. Upon arrival I noticed how clean the cottage was and I immediately felt relaxed. The bed was so comfortable it felt like home. The location was close to everything and we enjoyed many of walks around the neighbourhood. We enjoyed drinking our coffee outside each morning and dinners there too. My only regret was not booking a couple more this summer as it is now mostly booked into September.

sweet little house on a quiet street

We loved every little part of this sweet house. It was really hard to leave as it really felt like home. The sweet little house has so much light in it, fantastic. The furniture feels great, it is like a little cozy showcase space where you get ideas what you can do in your own house:))) The rain hitting the roof sounded like a sound machine. We loved loved loved staying here. Our host, Russell, was very helpful and personal, and cares about this property and the neighborhood profoundly. The whole stay of ours was so peaceful and we felt very safe. We fell in love with the area - many people walk, they like to talk or not (but always wave and smile), the beach is literally a sweet little walk away and is loong and clean. It is safe to play on the street. It is only a short drive to Bellingham or the border, I honestly think the location is 100% as well as the sweet little house. And the kitchen was better equipped than my own house and it was a joy to cook and eat in. And I have to mention the sofas and blankets - I am already in the search for them for my house :) You can tell I am beyond thrilled that we found this little gem. Give it a try.
