Historic Colonial Foursquare near FASTC/Ft Barfoot

This recently renovated lovely home, built in 1900, is situated just a few blocks from charming downtown Blackstone, VA. It's just a few minutes drive to FASTC and Fort Barfoot. Enjoy a short stroll to downtown Blackstone's shops and antique malls or have dinner at one of our restaurants on Main Street. The house is well equipped, meant to feel like your home away from home.
The space
The living room is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. There is a 42 inch TV with Hulu provided, and a bookshelf with games and several books for your entertainment. The dining room is set up for 6, with two additional chairs in other spaces. It also has a dedicated workspace with power and lighting.
The kitchen is fully equipped and if we are missing anything, we will make every attempt to meet your needs. Each of the 4 bedrooms has a comfy king size bed, two have a firm mattress, two have a soft mattress. One bedroom is on the first floor and the other three are on the second floor. We have two full baths, one on each floor. The second floor bath as a clawfoot tub. The laundry room has a frontload washer and dryer with a large folding table and an iron and ironing board.

Outside on the front porch is a lovely 5ft porch swing. The front porch also has a ramp from the parking lot to make access to the house easier. In the back, there is a fenced-in yard and a deck with table and chairs. We also provide both a gas grill and a charcoal grill with BBQ utensils.

A Comfortable Stay

My parents and I stayed here for a week with my infant son. It was perfect. Every room was extremely comfortable. The laundry room was amazing given all of the baby laundry we do each day. Great Stay in Historic Blackstone VA

My friends and I had a great stay at this large well-appointed home. 4 King size beds with high quality mattresses and bedding rival any that I have slept on in luxury hotels. The bedrooms are spacious as is the dining room and kitchen. Centrally located in Blackstone it was the perfect stay for our group

GALENTINES CANCER FREE CELEBRATION

The host was exceptionally easy to communicate with. The location for our agenda was perfect. The town of Blackstone is very cute. The home was beautiful and the beds where super comfy. We had everything there we need upon arrival. My friends all said they loved this house we should have made it a longer trip. We all had an amazing time. Nothing better then a weekend with friends.

The Perfect House

My tile crew and I stayed here and we were blown away at how nice it was to relax in this house after work. 4 king size beds in all the rooms. Hardwood floors through out. Nice comfy couch with blankets to sit and watch a movie. Full kitchen to make breakfast every day or dinner at night. We will be back in a few weeks to book again. Great home you have there well done!

Wonderful Stay!

This quant historic house was great and met all our needs for a 5 week stay. The check in and check out process went seamless. The first floor bedroom, bathroom, and ramp going into the house was perfect for my 92 year old mom. Suzanne and Steve were great hosts as they were right on top of trying to upgrade their wifi to meet our wifi needs given we were staying for 5 weeks and working remotely. We appreciated that a lot! We also appreciated the house having a nice barbecue grill to use as we love grilling out. In addition the linens were great and the beds were comfortable. Having two air conditioning units one on each level was a God send as my mom who stayed on the first floor needed the temperature a lot warmer than what we needed on the second floor to sleep. The location of the property was so close to everything (groceries, restaurants, shops). There is also a cute little farmers market two blocks away on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s that we walked to. We were able to find fresh eggs, produce, and delicious baked goods. The town of Blackstone is quaint little town and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this house for both short and long term stays. Thank you Suzanne and Steve for a great stay! Look forward to seeing you again.

Very nice facility. I would have liked a television in each bedroom, and ceiling fans vs chandeliers. Shower curtain and tub mat in upstairs bathroom need a good cleaning. Overall, we truly enjoy our stay. A bunch ofsenoirs!

Beautiful Home

Our family stayed for Thanksgiving to visit family and this house is absolute beautiful. The showers are amazing and we got the best sleep there! I wish we could have stayed longer, the house is so gorgeous and peaceful ♥️

Wonderful House

Wow! What a beautiful house! The updates to the are perfect but it still has that old home feel! Communication with the host was great beforehand! If we ever need to stay in Blackstone again we will definitely stay here! Oh and we loved the front porch swing!
