A couple of friends and I stayed for a long weekend for a VT football game. Great location and home. Misty was very responsive with answers to questions. Would recommend for a small group visiting Blacksburg.
I was looking for a place to getaway for a couple of days and disconnect from all of my distractions, and this cabin offered everything that I was looking for in my get away. The location is great, not too close but not too far from Blacksburg and convenient to good hiking trails in the area.
This was the perfect, pretty-secluded, clean, cozy, mountain cabin to get away for a few days, with Blacksburg just 15 minutes away for an easy dinner and drinks. Great hiking trails within 45 minutes NE and NW of cabin.
Property is very well maintained inside and out! Location feels remote, but just minutes to Virginia Tech. Snacks were thoughtful touch and a big hit with the kids.
Such a beautiful location and great property. It is evident the owners really care about this place and making sure guests have everything they need. From the stocked breakfast bar to mini toiletries, just fantastic. We loved the next door donkeys! Thank you for such a great experience.
A very cozy bear themed cabin. It's absolutely adorable. Loved the free snacks and cereal. It was a very nice touch. Perfect place to get away and 20 minutes from VA Tech which was the reason for our trip to Blacksburg. Property managers were very responsive. Highly recommend if you need to get away to the mountains.
We couldn’t have been happier with our 5 night stay during the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin was clean and cozy. We didn’t arrive until after 1am, so having snacks and juices waiting for us was a wonderful surprise that I didn’t expect. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Blacksburg and we were able to prepare our entire Thanksgiving lunch in the cabin. We will definitely be back.
The host thought of every little detail to make your stay a breeze, down to wrapped toothbrushes! The fridge was stocked with juices, water and even milk. Coffee station with cereal and snacks. The bedrooms were comfortable and the home was very clean and so nicely appointed. Only minor want for our family would be a dishwasher. Other than that a wonderful place for any family to stay and recharge.
It was a terrific stay. The place is very private. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The check in was easy. The host was very responsive. The coffee and snack bar in the cabin was delightful and appreciated. The place is very isolated - 2 miles down a gravel road. There is minimal to no cell service. Keep this in mind and print out the door codes or write them down - you may not be able to access email or messages from your phone when you get there.
After a struggling morning and afternoon with rental car we finally got to our little cabin in the woods. When I say what a quiet relaxing environment this cabin offered I'm not exaggerating. We drank our coffee on the porch in the mornings and talked with the donkeys. I named them Fred and Ethel lol. We watched deer , bunnies, birds and chipmunks. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and enjoyed a breeze with the sunset. We would relax in the hot tub and listen to the frogs . We would watch Little House on the Prairie and eat our Eskimo Pie and then out like a light. We will be back because in all honesty didn't want to leave. Thanks to our host Misty. You have a wonderful place and thanks for sharing it with us.
We traveled as a couple (no kids) with 2 dogs - and this cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Secluded, peaceful, perfect yard for the pups, awesome nearby hiking, and the fireplace/hot tub were so cozy. Very kind and gracious host, would book again!
We truly enjoyed this exceptional property. Private, peaceful, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great for kids and pets too! We really loved this cabin and will stay again in the future.

Beautiful property and cabin. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The check-in and check-out process was easy to use, and the host provided coffee, snacks and cereal which was a lovely surprise. I highly recommend staying here you will love it.
We really enjoyed our stay. Had everything you needed and also little things like snacks, stocked coffee bar. Also enjoyed the fact that we could have our dogs, the big yard was great for them to run and play. Misty the cabin owner was also very nice and a joy to talk to. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely rent this cabin again. Oh, and the donkeys across the driveway were a joy also.
This cabin far off the main road was a perfect getaway. Very clean and the only neighbors we saw were the deer passing through and a donkey in the pasture next to the cabin!
We had stayed overnight after a college tour of Virginia Tech. Loved that the host had provided all the basics - Coffee, juice, milk, small snacks and water bottles in the fridge.
The host was very responsive. We loved our stay. If our child chooses to go to VTech we will definitely consider renting this place again.
