"The hotel is located right in the town so it’s easy to walk to the local shops and attractions. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. It was a little bit noisy but that’s my only complaint if any. "
"We stayed in one of the Maxwell 2-person villas. Lovely accommodation, extremely comfortable and spacious. just a step away from shop (groceries and gifts) and restaurant, both very good. Especially appreciated that most items on the restaurant menu had gluten-free options. Would definitely stay again."
"The inn and its rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. We had breakfast both mornings of our stay, and it was delicious!"
"Cosy room, fab breakfast and super friendly, welcoming hosts. The snug and library are lovely touches. Our stay was amazing, we had a wonderful time and will be back."
"An amazing place to stay with great history and even a hotel museum in the basement. Full size snooker table, its own pub, live music on a Friday, relaxing swimming pool."
"The property was nice and close to town with lots of shop and places to eat. The room was very warm and the windows didn’t open up very far so was quite stuffy for sleeping in, but everything else was good. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly"
"Staff very efficient and helpful, quality of food on breakfast buffet first class,
Decor a little bit tired but all in all nice hotel,
Value for money. "

The main dining restaurnat and bar are both fantastic "
"If you want to drive around Scotland it is the perfect place to stay, every major city is with 2 hours drive. The town itself is beautiful.
