Paula at the front desk went above and beyond for us, whether it was confirming our excursions, arranging taxis, or ordering us early breakfast, she handled it all. The groundskeepers were so kind, setting up lounge chairs and allowing us to connect to the Bluetooth speaker by the pool. The on-site restaurant had a large menu and every dish we tried was delicious. I would absolutely recommend staying here."

"It wasn't a bad stay but it wasn't what I expected. Instead of a room in the main hotel, we were upgraded to a cabin, in the back of the property where it was so dark I drove into the concrete septic block! No damage fortunately. And I guess back there was better than being up front because of a loud party on a Monday night. At least the room was clean, the bathroom was huge, and the bed was comfortable for the price. Unlikely to return."

The rooms are simply furnished; they lack a wardrobe or dresser for storing clothes—there is only a small rack with a few hangers—and there are no cups or mugs; a fridge would also be a welcome addition. The hotel's location is perfect, just a few steps from the Mayan ruins."

"Like many eco lodges in the area, rooms are basically screened-in porchs with adjustable shutters - perfect for the setting, but very exposed. So, I get up at 2:30am for a routine bathroom visit, and let me add the (surprisingly relevant) detail that it was the quick and quiet #1 variety. Just as I was back in bed turning off the light, someone in the dark just outside my window asked 'Are you alright?'. Startled, at first I assumed this was a conversation between 2 people coincidentally on the walk outside my room, and I did not respond. However, the person who identified as a security guard seemed to really want to start a conversation with me, and kept asking until I responded. If I was not fully awake before, I sure was now and hours after,"
