Access is by digital pin deadbolt - I will provide you with the pin number to unlock/lock the front door. Each code is unique to the guest. Other things to note REMOTE CABIN STUFF -Cell service is spotty in the area depending on your provider. Please plan accordingly and have all check in details ready before arriving onsite. WIFI calling does work. - Our cabin has AT&T WiFi which can be used for streaming. We recommend you use your time at our home to disconnect from technology and embrace the beauty of the Rockies! - The Master Bedroom has low, sloped ceilings so please watch your head when walking around!
SNOW - During winter / spring months, we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to be able to easily park in our potentially snowy / icy driveway. Please plan accordingly as we do not offer refunds due to road conditions and incapable vehicles. The driveway is short at only about 50 yards from a county-maintained road that is well-plowed. Guests may have to shovel out (snow shovel provided) the driveway if there is a large snowstorm during the visit. Large snowstorms occur 1-5 times/season. It is recommended to be able-bodied during winter/early spring months.
WILDLIFE - Please do not leave trash and food outside as this will attract wildlife! Bears, elk, big horn sheep, and deer roam the area. However, encounters are rare.
WIND - The cabin occasionally gets high winds, especially in the winter months, sometimes reaching up to 65 miles per hour. The noise from the wind can be quite noticeable. Ensure you and your guests understand that such conditions may exist during your stay.
LANDSCAPE - The land can be uneven, rocky, and dangerous in the Rocky Mountains. Please be mindful of proper footing around the property.

Stayed with a small group of family members for a short retreat. The cabin is perfect size, well equipped and very comfortable! Close to Blackhawk and Nederland plus surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was very clean and organized. Made a good in-between spot considering we went on both sides of the mountains, from Idaho springs to Estes park.
Very nice cabin with a beautiful view. We were visiting family within walking distance. Beds very comfortable and ample firewood for the wood stove, which is especially helpful when outside temps dip below 20 degrees. Owner was very responsive to a couple of (rare) issues that cropped up.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lucky 7.
It’s really out in the middle of nowhere. So grab everything you need in town before heading to the cabin. The beds were comfortable and a nice way to relax in the evenings. Our favorite part about the cabin was being in nature. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evenings and interacting with the chipmunks and squirrels.
We had a great stay here for the holidays. Super cute and we loved the decor. Owners were incredibly responsive to all inquiries before & during our stay and allowed both our dogs to stay.
We are a family of 4 with a 6 & 3 year old. We were a bit surprised by how tight everything was. It fit our needs, but we were in each other’s way a lot.
We enjoyed the back patio and areas to play in the snow. The loft was really cool & directions were very clear.
The cabin was clean and well taken care of. My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for us. The location felt far in the woods but the drive to town was simple and quick which is what we wanted. The internet was reliable. Overall what we really wanted for a nice weekend.
Enjoyed the cabin! Neighboors were closer than expected, cleaning crew could of done better. Over all loved the scenery and how close it is to GGCSP trails were amazing!
Cute, clean A frame cabin. Easy to locate. A heads up there is no AC, which may be typical at that elevation. However, the cabin was over 80 in the afternoon. You may want to consider bringing fans.
My girlfriend and I booked this cabin as a late Birthday celebration as a 'staycation,' for her and I as Colorado residents. We were both pleasantly surprised, and pleased, by the place. It's a great cabin in a great location. Accessible to skiing in the Winter and great hiking in the Spring and Summer months.
I would highly recommend this place for local and out-of-town travelers looking for a cabin in nature, close to Nederland, Black Hawk and all the great wonders CO nature provides.
