Lazy Me ~ A Magical Creek-front Cabin with Hot Tub & Private Woods
Welcome to Lazy-Me! Take it extra easy at our cozy, 2 bed- 1 bath cabin- sitting right next to Clear Creek, nestled perfectly in the tranquil Rocky Mountains. Our magical abode sits in the midst of a beautiful aspen & pine grove, with the relaxing hum of the creek and fresh air to soothe you. Soak under the stars in our 4 person hot tub! Cook meals with your loved ones in our fully stocked kitchen. Sleep in, take your time and absorb the restfulness.
Only a few minutes drive to miles of Jeep trails. Hikes are endless, paved or cross country in the national forest lands (Arapaho, and Roosevelt). Property is located in the spring fed head waters of Clear Creek. It is always flowing, icy in winter, and amazing trout fishing in spring and summer. You are only 35 minutes to Eldora Ski Resort, without having to get on I-70. Blackhawk casinos are only 5 miles from the front door! Black hawk has adult fun with casino culture, great dining options, top-rated spas, and more.
Our road is maintained and plowed during the winter season, but 4WD or AWD is recommended from November-May. Without it can turn into and adventure, so please be aware and well equipped to travel in the mountain winters during your visit, if traveling between November-May.
This is a great place for the family to explore, or just find a place to sit and relax. 2 acres of yard, woods and trails, perfect for finding a place by the creek to sit and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
We are friendly to smokers but ONLY outside. Be very careful with smoking, as our mountain neighborhood is highly susceptible to wildfire. Therefore we ask for no campfires on the property- please enjoy the pellet stove inside, but absolutely no outside burning. Do not drop smoking debris on the ground! We are pet friendly and charge a reasonable deposit for your 4 legged family to join you, but we request that guests must pick up after your pets poo.
This is our Colorado passion project that we have been remodeling & updating over the recent years, and we do our best to make it a fabulous experience for our guests! Your enjoyment is important to us, and we are delighted to be able to share our home with other families, friends, travelers, and all folks to enjoy- it is a pleasure to share it with others, so thank you for taking great care of our home!

Had a great weekend with some friends, hanging in the hot tub with snow outside was a really cool experience! Perfect place for a trip away from civilization!
Such a great stay! This house is amazing and such a cool location right on the river. Easy to find and get into, and everything was just as advertised. We will look forward to returning!
This was a great empty-nester getaway. It was the perfect place to relax by the stream. The hot tub was a great bonus! We had a lot of great hikes w/in a 30 min drive. Would definitely book again!
I had an absolute blast at the Lazy Me cabin. The property was peaceful and secluded, and after a winter day of exploring it was such a treat to hang out in the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this stay for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge! Looking forward to another stay here in the future. Thank you!
The cabin was perfect exactly what I was looking for. It was tucked away in the mountains far enough where you feel like you’re not around anyone but you’re right outside mountain towns, easily enough to get to for shopping, restaurants, and easy access to stores. The cabins features were great. I loved the hot tub. I was staying there during snow. Storms and the cabin was very warm, which was very appreciated very clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. You can tell everyone who stood has loved their experience I can’t wait to come back
My wife and I loved staying at this cabin. We had a great relaxing weekend and this place had all that we needed for the weekend. It’s close enough to town for some food and shopping but far enough away that you feel secluded from the world. Highly recommend this cabin for a getaway weekend!
We had a relaxing time in the cozy Lazy Me cabin. The cabin is comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. Beautiful property. We especially loved the creek and the hot tub was great after hiking.
We had a great stay at "Lazy Me". After spending the days hiking, fishing, and sight seeing it was great to return to the cozy, hidden cabin for rest and relaxation. The hot tub felt great after a hard day of exercise.
This has been one of our favorite stays with VRBO. Absolutely spectacular property with an equally lovely management. Loved our time out in the snow and plan to book again in the spring.
We loved our stay! It was perfect for our kids who love the outdoors- they loved playing in the creek and exploring the property. The natural sound machine of the creek was amazing and we even saw a moose walk right by on the other side of the creek one night! The hot tub and a warm shower each night was an added bonus, perfect for those who love camping but would prefer some glamping
The property will bring you the ability to disconnect from your busy daily life. Everything worked just right and we loved our stay. The host were excellent in communicating!
A cozy cabin with a hot tub to enjoy the mountain air! Our dogs loved running through the snow. The cabin was cleaned and stocked with so many helpful items (thankfully because I forgot olive oil, pepper/salt, sugar and my hair dryer) Great communication and just a pleasant experience all the way around!! We highly recommend this get away! Black Hawk is close for any kind of dining if you decide not to cook one day!
We came to Lazy Me for an easy get away for Thanksgiving. And it was amazing. I'm so thankful for the hosts that make their space shareable with our dogs. It allowed us to bond, relax, unwind and unplug while also doing it with the pups. The amenities were perfect to make our Thanksgiving meal, the property allowed for outdoor adventures, and the pellet stove and hot tub were the highlights of our stay. We even saw some wild life while sipping our coffee in the early morning! We will definitely be back!
Our Stay was very pleasant in this quaint and quiet cabin. We fell in love with the sound of the creek, running right next to us. Our stay ended up being a snowy one, I would suggest having four-wheel-drive if you plan to visit during the winter months, but they do keep the roads, nice and clear and we even had a sweet neighbor clear the driveway for us!
Alexandra was a great contact for any questions we had and very knowledgeable about the property! Will definitely be staying here again in the future!
