"This was an amazing stay. Every detail of this house was thought out and beautifully put together. We stayed in February and the kids absolutely loved the sledding hill and provided tubes. The pool table and air hockey were definitely a favorite as well. Thanks to the owners for helping provide some amazing family memories!"

"Absolutely recommend, perfect location and the house has a great layout for large families. Downstairs gameroom was a life saver as there is nowhere to go at night and kids were never bored ! First time at Shawnee/Pleasant and was also quite surprised as the mountain was larger than i thought and no lines for vaca week !!Also owner was over the top nice and offered another night for a discount. Sadly I couldn't take the night off and asked how much for a late checkout. She graciously told me 3pm was fine and not to worry about the fee !!Thanks so much, we absolutely will be back "

"We stayed for a few days of ice fishing, the house was perfect for a few families to share! Access to the ice was perfect and easy, the kitchen was well stocked for a larger group and the house was comfortable. The host was accommodating and very responsive to our needs and requests! Could not have asked for more! !"

"This cabin was absolutely adorable and so cozy. It felt wonderfully secluded, like a true mountain escape, but we were incredibly close to the slopes. The kids loved the hot tub, and we loved how charming and comfortable everything felt. The house also had all the basics you could need. We loved it and hope to stay again! Thank you! "

"We walked into the house and it was beautiful! All the amenities that you beed. There were 2 coffee pots, one keurig and the other standard. There was extra blankets, some people left some stuff to use. Lots of pots and pans, the only thing I was disappointed with was that the pans were all scratches up and teflon (cancer causing) The sink also looked dirty and one of the towels they left us had a lot of holes in it. The loft bedroom with the King bed was dirty underneath, candy wrapper under and cobwebs and dust. Im allergic so I wasnt happy about that. Everything else was so amazing. So much wood, washer & dryer, fire pit outside with extra tables and chairs. The string lights were beautiful. It rained so there was a lot of ice and they came and took care of it. It was nice. The host is a good communicator. Kept in touch with us. Just a few things that could be changed or bring your own. Pillows, pots and pans, towels "

"If I could give this place 10 stars for peace and tranquility I certainly would. We appreciated that we could have our senior dog there who enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the local wildlife. We loved the coziness of the cabin and the nostalgia about the place such as the screened in porch with the wooden slamming screen door. We explored the local towns of Fryeburg and Bridgton nearby that offered some great food and shopping. The food was awesome at 302 West and the lobster roll was excellent at Fryes Pizza in Fryeburg. The Corn Shop Trading Company in Bridgton had everything you could want for a souvenir and Reny’s was a great shopping experience as well. The weather conditions couldn’t have been better until mid week when a cold front moved in and the temperature dropped by almost 20 degrees overnight. Here’s where things got a little concerning. We had to use the cabin electric baseboard heat to stay warm. Our concern was the extension cords over those baseboards. We did our best to prop them up out of the way but the thought of a potential fire just didn’t make for a good night’s sleep.This cabin appeared to be in the process of renovation and upgrading. The description on vrbo stated the bathroom was newly renovated in 2024 and while everything seemed clean, there was absolutely no electrical outlet or exhaust vent in there. This was a minor inconvenience for my husband and I but I couldn’t fathom this working for my kids and grandchildren. Needs more renovations"
