1. SPREE. Hotel am Hafen

SPREE. Hotel am Hafen
Lübbenau/Spreewald
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (85 reviews)
"A wonderful hotel. Very premium and modern aesthetic. Hotel has minimal amenities like soap and hotel slippers and hair dryer only so you need to bring your own shampoo or toothbrush. Breakfast buffet is great. Will stay there again if we hit the area. Location is great , near the tourist boat tour. But there’s nothing much to do other than biking , and walking around a small riverside/nature area. The neighboring Lehde town is cute but super tiny. Can’t imagine being here more than 2 nights."

"Had a one night stay as we were driving through the area. Cons: No AC in the room, and it was WARM. Old and rock hard beds. Rooms were very loud, and i could hear my neightbour snoring just as well as i heard the traffic from the autobahn. Breakfast was ok. Not too much to choose from, but for the price of the stay i guess it was ok. Pros: Easy and accessible parking. Friendly staff. Very close to the Autobahn, easy choice when you are just travelling through the area."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bischdorf?
The best area to stay in Bischdorf for a high-quality, convenient experience is generally within the village centre itself, or in the immediate surrounding countryside for those seeking a tranquil escape.

The village centre of Bischdorf is quite compact and offers a traditional German village experience. You'll find a few local guesthouses and holiday flats, often family-run, which provide a personal touch. The main street, Dorfstrasse, runs through the heart of the village, connecting the church and the local inn. It's a pleasant area for a stroll, with well-kept gardens and traditional architecture.

Couples looking for a relaxing and private getaway will appreciate the options just outside the village centre. Many holiday rentals here offer more space and direct access to the scenic Spreewald nature, superb for cycling or walking. These properties often feature amenities like private terraces and larger gardens, providing a peaceful retreat after exploring the region.

For families, staying within the village centre offers the convenience of being close to any local shops or eateries. Some accommodations might offer family rooms or apartments, making it easier to manage with children.
When is the best time to go to Bischdorf?
The best time to visit Bischdorf is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically from May to June or September to October. These periods offer pleasant weather for exploring and a generally relaxed atmosphere.

For those looking to make the most of the outdoor activities and enjoy the natural beauty of the Spreewald, late spring (May-June) is ideal. The temperatures are mild, the landscape is lush and green, and you'll find great conditions for cycling, canoeing, and walking through the picturesque villages. It's a great time for couples seeking an active yet tranquil escape.

Early autumn (September-October) also provides a wonderful experience, particularly for travellers who appreciate cooler temperatures and the vibrant colours of the changing leaves. This period is often quieter than the peak summer months, allowing for a more serene visit.
