This English Cottage boasts an old world European feel but with all the modern amenities. Remodeled with crisp clean colors, Italian tile in bath and kitchen and recessed lighting. If you need to be near the city of Birmingham and UAB, this is the ideal hidden cottage for you. Find roasting marshmallows and hotdog fun at the fire pit, or make dinner on the patio barby while watching afternoon chicken residents meander around before making their way to their home. Cottage is one minute from interstate which leads everywhere easily to the South and North. You will find many breweries, restaurants, museums and activities right here in the heart of Birmingham. Along with these is an amazing hiking trail ( level easy ), that begins right here in our neighborhood and takes you along the top crest of the mountain ending at the Vulcan statue and museum, where you can see Birmingham for many miles around 360 degrees.

English Cottage in Birmingham

Cozy and comfortable cottage in Birmingham near Glen Iris and George Ward Parks. There are just a few steps to climb and some uneven ground that is easily navigated by most folks. Decor was very welcoming and comfortable. Welcome kit was most inviting.

Lovely Cottage

Lovely cottage close to downtown! This location is behind the owner’s house, but it has a separate entry point. The host was very kind, gracious and responded quickly to messages. The cottage is large and is in a secluded and quiet neighborhood. It is perfect for a couple people to gather and boasts of all the basic necessities.

Home away from home!

This nice little cottage was nestled away. It made you feel like you were far away from the hustle and bustle of life. We loved it and were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The place was very clean and quiet. It was a cozy little home away from home for my son and I!!

Delightful Stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming property which turned out to be a delightful experience, particularly due to the exceptional service provided by the host. Upon arrival, we encountered a minor hiccup with the heating system, but what truly stood out was the speed and efficiency with which this issue was addressed. The host was quick to respond, showing genuine concern for our comfort, and had the problem rectified in no time. This swift resolution allowed us to enjoy the rest of our stay in a warm, cozy environment. The rest of the amenities and the overall ambiance of the property were wonderful, making this a memorable and comfortable stay. I was thoroughly impressed by the host's dedication to ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect.

Inaccurate listing

My expectations are probably differnet than the other patrons. This "cottage" is behind the host's home. It is not downtown or near downtown. I arrived at night and I was afraid that someone may assume I was trespassing. The host did send a message regarding check in. I would not have stayed in someone's backyard. The interior of the "cottage" is accurate. However, the bed was not comfortable. It was very firm and I did not sleep well both nights. I did not have a sense of security being in someones backyard in a city I am unfamiliar with. There were carpenter ants in the bathroom and millipedes in the shower. I killed the ones I saw. Maybe they just need a pest control to help mitigate that. My concern was I never felt safe and it inhibited my ability to rest at night. I would have never booked this if I had known this was in someone's backyard. There was a hatchet on the horse trailer as I was walking to the "cottage." Again, my expectations are different than others. There was no check out procedures. I just did what most ask and put towels on the floor and I did not see a trash can. I just took all of my trash with me. Also, I received an unprofessional text from a number saying, "what time are you arriving?" I asked who is this? The reply was, "your host." This host was not accurate in the description I would not stay here again.

The actual accommodations were quite sufficient and just what my son and I required. The owner took care to provide a few extra conveniences, and ensured the home was comfortable.
