Family trip

Overall we had a relaxing and pleasant experience in their quaint home. We are traveling with two infants and this property has toys, cribs, a pack and play and other essentials. Will stay again

Kid friendly and great location

We stayed the weekend for a show at the Avondale Brewing Company. This house was the perfect location! Able to walk over, safe & quiet neighborhood and the house is well stocked for travel with kids! Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Bham.

UAB Visit

We came to Birmingham for a hospital visit at UAB. The home was perfect, quiet, and just enough space for 4 adults and 1 infant. There were no pot holders for taking things out of the oven and there was a used washcloth handing on the shower from the previous guest, but it was overall a great stay. Definitely would consider this home again if it’s available!

Awesome stay!

The Butterfly House is a beautiful home that is well appointed with lots of little details that make you smile. We loved our stay and enjoyed the proximity to the Avondale entertainment district. Great too to have off street parking and a super large back yard for the pooch… Will be back for sure…

Great place

We needed a temporary place to stay while we had work done on our house. This place was perfect. It had all of the amenities we needed and we felt right at home. We would stay again in the future should the need arise and would recommend to anyone needing a pet-friendly house with off street parking in a convenient location.

Very Convenient!

Great location with plenty of room for family and dogs. Loved the back yard and quiet neighborhood. Walked to the park and for coffee one morning. Would definitely like to stay again.

Great little stay!

We stopped overnight on our way through and it was such a great spot. Darling house, great amenities including coffee and creamer, kid and baby items, and a super comfy master bed. My only suggestion might be some black out curtains in the master since there aren’t blinds. Lovely stay!

Adorable and Cozy Home

my wife and I stayed here for a night when we were on a long trip and needed a break. The overall house was very nice and very warm. Spacious with three bedrooms and a huge yard for dogs to run if you’re traveling with Dogs. Would return for sure. The people were also very nice that owned it and we’re very in communication with us the whole time. Overall would return five stars.

Cute, Affordable Spot in Birmingham

We had a nice stay at Britt and George's place. The rate was very affordable. The house is a cute 1950s bungalow with 3 beds and 1 bathroom. We traveled with 2 kids and the space worked perfectly for us. There was a crib which we utilized along with multiple toys for our kids. The fenced in backyard which was great for our kids to run around. The neighborhood was very quiet at night. We had a snafu with checkin which was quickly remedied. Hosts are much quicker to respond over text rather than app. Thanks for a great stay!

Avondale bungalow

The check-in was easy and the outdoor area in the back was beautiful! We loved having the grill to cook on and tables in the fenced back yard to hang out at! Also, having the crib was very convenient! Unfortunately, the lack of overall cleanliness of the house was disappointing. We reached out to the host and she apologized and was kind to offer to refund the cleaning fee. There are several things related to general house maintenance that we also mentioned to the host.

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I took a weekend getaway to Birmingham to visit local Farmer's Markets and restaurants. We looked for a place to stay close to down town but also accommodating and safe. The Cheerful Avondale Bungalow fit us perfectly. It's located in a well established, cute neighborhood within walking distance to the Avondale downtown streets and the Avondale Park. We took advantage of the park both days and walked around the pond and ballfields, very nice. Getting downtown B-ham or up the mountain to Mountain Brook area was a breeze, everything was like 5-10 minutes away. Our hosts communicated with us before we arrived and we felt very comfortable reaching out to them if needed. The house had all we needed, nice spacious kitchen, very clean throughout, nice fenced in backyard. Overall our stay was wonderful, and at this proximity it was a perfect "base" for us to do all we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again and refer others. Thank you Britt and George!
