Great location for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is super clean and the hosts are accessible and accommodating for any needs. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would definitely recommend this location and will likely be returning in the future.
We were in town for a wedding and absolutely loved staying in the bunkhouse! It is in a beautiful and peaceful spot. Laticia is very responsive and very helpful! We will absolutely be staying here again when we are over that direction. Thank you for such a great stay!
Stayed here with my daughter on the way to visit my son in Bozeman. The bunkhouse was very clean and very comfortable. Our dog was excited to see some dog friends there to welcome him :) It was very convenient to take the dog for an early morning walk right out the front door and watch the sun rise. We would stay here again for sure!
Big Timber Bunkhouse a sweet treat nestled in the rolling fields of Montana
Despite our exteme lateness in getting to the Bunkhouse (3:30 am) due to unforeseen travel glitches, we loved our brief stay overnight. Everything is sparkling clean and comfortable. Outdoors, you'll be greeted by a sunken green lawn area and rolling green hills across the road. It's a bit of a drive over a dirt road outside the town of Big Timber, but your'e rewarded by a cozy dwelling at the end. We'd gladly stay again if we arrived while it was light enough to enjoy the stay!
This was my best experience with Vrbo! I want to say it was awful just so nobody else books it so I can have it to myself!!! The communication with the owner was almost instantaneous. The Cabin was extremely clean, exactly as described. It’s a little closer to the gravel road than I was expecting, but I spent a lot of time on the front porch and I think I saw three cars go by so not an issue. There were plenty of towels. The bed was very comfortable.A++++++
Nice quiet and cozy place about 3 miles outside of town. Very secluded, very comfortable. We loved the dog welcoming committee. The first night was good, however the second night a raccoon had chewed through the power line on the pole so we had no electricity for lights OR water. The property has a well with a pump so we had no way to shower the next morning or (even worse) flush the toilet. This was not a situation the host could have avoided…. Seriously….a raccoon? Ha. I’m not sure the cost of a generator but it sure would have been nice that night!
I think this is my favorite of all the VRBO rentals we've done over the years. Certainly my favorite in the Big Timber area!
The "Bunkhouse" is about 6 miles from downtown Big Timber. Four of those miles are on a gravel road, but it's a good condition gravel road. It's on a working cattle and horse ranch, surrounded by other ranches. Rather scenic for ranch land, with gentle rolling hills and groves of trees.
It has a nice rock driveway that keeps your shoes clean even if it's raining. The cabin has a nice grass yard. There is a drainage ditch separating the cabin yard from the owners' home.
We did most of our cooking on the small Weber gas grill. The grill is big enough to grill two large steaks or four large burgers. For a grill with a single burner, it cooks more evenly than I expected.
The owners gave us privacy, but they were very friendly when we walked over to talk with them. Nathan tipped his hat when he shook my wife's hand, which really impressed her.
Clean, comfortable. Check in was easy. Responsive host. Nice amenities like hand soap, shower needs, lots of towels. Kitchen well equipped. Bedding clean and comfortable. I appreciated the cotton sheets that weren’t polyester!
