About this property

Beehive Basin Yurt: Stunning Mountain Views, Private Hot Tub

  • Escape to the mountains and experience the magic of Big Sky from your own private yurt in beautiful Beehive Basin at 8,100 ft. Just 10 minutes from Big Sky Resort, this cozy retreat features a private hot tub, king bed, queen convertible sofa, full bathroom, and stunning Lone Peak views. Perfect for couples, friends, or a small family, the yurt offers a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, blending rustic charm with modern comforts.

This 24` yurt (450 sq. ft.) features a king bed, queen sofa bed, private hot tub, full bathroom, basic galley kitchen amenities, fire pit, and stunning Lone Peak views.

Guests have access to the entire yurt, deck, and private hot tub. Parking is also available directly outside the yurt. There is a fire pit in close proximity. Guests may use this when a fire ban is not in effect (wildfire safety).

Jeff and Melissa are full-time Big Sky residents and the owners of Bear Basin Vacation Homes, a boutique vacation rental company focused on providing elevated guest experiences. They live on the property with their senior dog, Ted, and personally manage their vacation homes as their full-time business.

Unlike many area rentals managed by large property management companies or absentee owners, Jeff and Melissa are hands-on and available to provide a level of personal service that is truly a cut above. Their commitment to exceptional hospitality is reflected in their consistently strong reviews across all platforms. While issues are rare, should something arise during your stay, you can rest easy knowing that help is just steps away.

The yurt is nestled in Beehive Basin, one of Big Sky’s most secluded and scenic neighborhoods, where homes are spread across large, beautiful mountain properties. While the setting feels peaceful and remote, you’re just a 10-minute drive from the base of Big Sky Resort. The Beehive Basin Trailhead is also within walking distance, offering access to one of the area’s most spectacular hikes. In winter, the surrounding basin becomes a favorite destination for backcountry skiing, making this an ideal location for year-round mountain adventures.

A vehicle is required in the Beehive Area. No public transportation available.

**Winter Season** (Oct 1 through May 1) This home is located in the mountains (8100 ft). When renting a vehicle you MUST reserve a 4-wheel drive vehicle with good winter tires as the road leading to the home is steep, curvy, and snow packed. 2WD vehicles will get stuck.
Check out this company for winter rentals: explore-rentals.
