"What a wonderful cabin, & wonderful hosts! We had a truly great time just sitting peacefully by the lake, watching loons, eagles, ducks, & more, plus we visited the International Wolf Center & North American Bear Center! Awesome experiences! Ely is a perfect vacation town, & I cannot recommend both it, & this lovely cabin enough. It was a snug, safe, warm home base for us, & we loved it. Visit the hosts' candy store in town, if you can. Bourbon pecan maple fudge, on top of everything else! Unbelievable! This vacation was perfect! Thank you!"

"Loon Island is lovely, and the cabin is well-designed for a pleasant off-the-grid vacation. We were there in September, the perfect time for a mosquito-free vacation on the edge of the Boundary Waters. Rob, the caretaker, was friendly, efficient, and super-helpful in showing us how to operate the various systems--everything from the solar power to the composting toilet. We will definitely return for another stay."
