"The establishment is quite dated and does not appear to have received any recent updates. This would be fine except that it does not match with the $500+/per night for a basic room with two queen beds. They also seemed to be understaffed for what would be an expected busy time of the year (Spring Break). There were no towels at the pool, and multiple calls from multiple guests led to no response. After about an hour, bath towels were brought out. In our room, we had 3 guests, when services came, they only made up the room for 2. The onsite restaurant was not staffed to handle basic reservations. Staff was not welcoming or friendly. "

"A beautiful view of rustic surroundings from our room and good restaurant close by. The road to get there though was 13 miles of acceptable paved surface but the final 3.1 miles was very rough unpaved dirt. "

"Clean room and facilities. Old motel that has been renovated, except for the toilet and tub area. Beds were VERY firm, and pillows were VERY soft. Tub needs to be replaced. It was cracked with a hole around the faucet, and the cold water knob was broken and had to be held firmly pushed in to turn. Water pressure in the sink was low. Restaurants nearby. Close to Big Bend National Park entrance. Friendly staff. "

"Amazing! Located 4 miles from West entrance to Big Bend. Large comfortable room with rainfall shower which was attended to each day to restock toiletries and coffee. Only issue would be park traffic which begins around 5ish."

"Room was too small to bring in luggage. Shelving in rooms were loose and we couldn't utilize them. Getting them to give you passkey to enter room was a pain and the doorknob was wouldn't operate properly. Restroom were clean at least. "

"We had the BEST trip to Casa de Chiles. The check-in process was extremely easy since our hosts had communicated with us ahead of time. The location is stunning and the amenities on property were perfect for a family enjoying a trip to Big Bend. Would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking in the area!"
