It was such a cute house, wish it had more kitchen supplies like a bigger frying pan and some sort of baking sheets or cassrole dish and maybe foil. Super beautiful location, nice decor, it was really easy to ask for more dish soap from owners, and we all loved our stay.
I stayed at this property for two nights with friends and family. The back of the cabin stares right into the forest. It was a lovely scenery and couple of deer even came around the first day of our stay. There is hiking trail that begins at the edge of the property. The people didn't bug us one bit but if you're looking for total isolation this might not be the spot for you. We grilled, played pool, used the hot tub, and went for a short walk on the aforementioned trail while we stay here. Great experience overall and I look foward to my next stay.
Great property with beautiful views out the back of the national park. This property was great for my kids and their friends who looked to relax after a long day on the slopes!
Had a wonderful time. Property is clean, quiet, and everything as described. Slept 6 adults and baby and was not crowded. Patio in back is so relaxing, looks into the national forest so very private.
We were 5 adults and two kids. Easy access to hiking. Great hot tub. Enough rooms for everyone. Bring kitchen staples like oils and spices. Freezer doesn't really work but it was mentioned in previous reviews so we were prepared. Everything else was great. We had a wonderful time. Will consider this place for another trip
It lacked on the cleaning! But overall we all loved it especially it being the last house where the backyard is to the forest and walking trails also loved that it had a all around porch where we can sit outside we all loved it so hopefully we get to go back. :)
We stayed at this house for a spring skiing weekend. 5 adults and 5 kids under 10 had plenty of room to sleep and we enjoyed our visit. The house is right at a trailhead and you can hike right out of the back yard. Also very close to Bear Mountain. However the dishwasher was very dirty and as a result many dishes in the cupboards had dried food on them, so we had to hand wash all our dishes. Also kitchen supplies are very limited or damaged. Bring everything you need if you plan on cooking, even salt and pepper.

Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Don't stay here
Spa did not work, only able to use 1 pool stick all the rest had no tips, master TV did not work, master toilet leaked, light above kitchen table did not work had to get a light bulb, when it was time to shower the water came out brown. Vacuums didn't work, mop was broken.Very low maintenance cabin. Needs to be kept up. Will not return I was very disappointed 😞
The Good:- The location was perfect. Less than 10 minute drive to town and the lake. Beautifully backed up to the forest and neighbors are quiet. The hiking trail behind the house does see a lot of people but they didn't bother us much.- Hot tub was large, clean, and great for relaxing, and out of sight of neighbors.- Easy check in and out.- Spacious home and 4 bedrooms. The Not so Good:- No AC, which we did not not see that in the description of the home. A little warm during the day (we stayed in June) and only one fan was provided.- All the furniture in the home was not very comfortable. The chairs will hurt your back! The beds were also not the greatest.- Outdoor furniture was either extremely dirty, ripped up from squirrels, or broken.- The spare bedroom upstairs balcony (the smaller balcony) was very sketchy! The boards were loose, the railing was falling apart. Do not lean on railing at all!All in all, it wasn't bad, especially for the price, but could use some love and attention.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location
Everything was adequate.
Everything was adequate as I said, but three things were issues for myself and my family.
The house is at the head of a very busy trail head so people were in and out of the area parking next to the house talking loud and even trying to talk to us while we were on the deck.
The sheets we of some type of muslin and very rough to sleep on.
There is no TV in the commen area downstairs and the TV upstairs is just outside of three bedrooms.
As a plus the management company did let us have late check out from 10am to 1pm.
Everyone at Destination Big Bear was very helpful and accommodating.
We really like the house! Especially the back patio!! We spend a very good time there! Thank you so much!!!

Clean, quiet and comfortable
We had three families stay in the house together. Plenty of room. Very clean. Loved the back deck for the 14 month old and the front wrap around deck for us old folks. The game room was great for the kids and access to the trail out the back door. Perfect!!!!!

Lovely and beautiful.
The home is great! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The beds are comfy. The home backs to the national forest and we were able to take 5 kids that have never seen snow to play in it. Exactly what we needed to recharge and forget about everyday things.

Great property
Stayed for the weekend with 10 teenage kids, my husband and me. The layout of the house was great. Kids spent most time when at the house in the pool table room, which was great we barley heard them in rest of house. Backing the forest was fun they had a snowball fight. A few used the spa. House was clean, beds were decent. All toilets did seem to run along time. Overall great time everyone loved it.
