This enchanted Cottage is completely updated but has never lost its charm. Steps to the lake, dog park, beach, playgrounds & several fun local restaurants and also a 12 minute walk to the Village. With two mountain style A-frame bedrooms & 1 full bath with an open downstairs for playing games or lounging by the fireplace. Storybook Lake Cottage features whimsical cabin lake decor that lets you never forget why you came to Big Bear to enjoy a simple & relaxing mountain getaway.
The space
Story Book Cottage is ideally located just a 12-minute walk to the Village, a 5-minute drive to Snow Summit, a 10-minute drive to Bear Mountain Ski Resort, and 2 minutes to Big Bear Lake, making it a great base for year-round adventures.

Inside, this small 1938 cabin blends modern comforts with rustic charm. The updated kitchen features high-end appliances, a Keurig machine, and a drip coffee maker, perfect for fueling your mountain mornings. The bathroom is equipped with a washer and dryer for convenience.

The open living room invites you to relax with its custom woodsy decor, TV, gas fireplace, and even a small piano for music lovers.

Upstairs, you’ll find two cozy A-frame bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: A queen bed, a small sitting area with a couch, and a smart TV.
Bedroom 2: A full bed, a twin bed, and a small TV.
The upstairs closet is stocked with space heaters and fans to keep you comfortable in any season. Downstairs, the home is efficiently heated with a wall furnace.

We had a wonderful stay at this place! Everything about the cabin was great — clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect and the overall experience was very comfortable and relaxing.I had read a previous review mentioning that the upstairs rooms could be cold, but that was not our experience at all. There were plenty of heaters provided, and the upstairs room was warm and very comfortable throughout our stay.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended!

Great communication with the owner. Location is walkable to BB Lake, dog park, park, and some food places. The kitchen is perfect & the living room is huge! So comfortable for 4-5 people. Our frenchie loved it. Upstairs are the two small bedrooms. The extra details the owners put into this cabin are unmatched. The piano, gas fireplace, clean coffee makers!🩵CJ & Family

Very nice, everything was very clean, I liked the kitchen and the living room a lot. The only thing missing was heaters in the bedrooms, they were very cold, but everything else was impressive.
