Superb cabin! My family had THE best time and felt "at home" in this cabin.
This cabin was amazing! My family stayed here for a weekend and it was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, there was an abundance of towels and extra bedding, and it was clean! It's a perfect place for a small family gathering /weekend getaway for a couple small families. We had a great time and will definitely be booking this again in the future!
This cabin was awesome! My friends and I went up for a weekend and there were tons of games, amenities and plenty of beds to sleep in. The movie room is a plus!
This is an awesome home. Very well appointed and large enough for everyone to have their space - and the in-home movie theater was a huge hit with the kids. The booking and check in, check out process was quick and easy. Overall, a great vacation.
A perfect place for 14 of us at a family reunion. Activities for everyone all ages. Loved the house. Wonderful space for us all to be together and plenty of private spaces when you needed some alone time

Perfect, quiet spot to enjoy Big Bear
My annual family get together chose Big Bear this year, as none of us had been there. It was a wonderful vacation and this cabin provided the perfect, quiet location for all of us with plenty of room, great views and a nice back patio with a private view of the hillside. Everything worked as expected and there were no issues while we were there. Perfect.
We loved having different areas to hang out. We’d watch football upstairs and simultaneously play video games/watch movies downstairs. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to rent another property unless it has a home theater like this. It was the best part of our stay! (Plus the game room just adjacent)

wonderful getaway
Super clean, great backyard to hike in, outstanding everything. I can't say enough great things. Tons of room and sleeping areas, house is so comfortable and decorated perfect. We were sad to checkout. Thanks so much. We will be back!
Hospitality is top notch!!!!
We absolutely loved how big and open the house was. We cooked and ate dinner in the big open kitchen/dining/living room space. It was nice because the basement also provides a lot of "hang out" area. We truly loved it. We walked to lunch one day, but be warned, it is a steep walk back up to the house (although definitely doable!). We loved it so much, someone our party booked the same house later in the summer.

Fab 40th Birthday
The cabin is amazing! So spacious and clean! Kitchen and great room perfect for family interaction and cooking. We utilized the spa, horse shoes and the kids loved the back yard! Beautiful neighborhood and easy walk to watch fireworks! Landlord was very nice and prompt when we text him. The perfect place for my 40th birthday celebration! I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and amazing house
We stayed here for a weekend get away with a large group of friends/couples. The property perfectly accommodated everyone and was conveniently located close to the slopes, restaurants and grocery stories. Property management made the process seamless from start to finish. There was a small hiccup with the internet and Jason was there to immediately get it handled. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect beyond belief
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin. Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, warm and cozy and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities we needed. We did tons of cooking for our group of 12, and we had all the kitchen supplies to do so. The rooms and beds are all extremely comfortable and the hot tub just seals the deal. The hosts were very helpful and available to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this cabin, you will be pleased beyond belief. My friends and I are already planning our next adventure to Big Bear solely around staying here.
The house is very nice with large and numerous spaces for a large family reunion. It sleeps 16, however, not very comfortably. There are six bedrooms, but only the master has a comfortable bed. The dual queen bedroom in the basement has beds that are hard as a rock. The upper floor queen bed is worn out-soft, and the rest of the beds are either bunks or futon mattresses. The kitchen is very large with great island, lots of counter space, nice range & oven, and Keurig coffee machine and nice microwave. However, the refrigerator was too small for our extended family of 14 and offered no water or ice maker. This was a surprise, considering the price and the luxury nature of the home. Note, you will have to buy bags of ice. Also, there were numerous kitchen implements and post & pans, although most of the pans looked like thrift store cast offs. We thoroughly enjoyed the theater room, the pool table/ping pong table and grand piano. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, and the deck was delightful in the evenings. However, the pond was covered by scum and the back yard was off limits. The front yard featured a horse shoe pit and a long driveway which handled the multiple cars of the various family members who drove up the mountain to meet here. A great feature of the home is its proximity to two major supermarkets, just down the hill. Overall, we had a great family reunion here.
This cabin is beautiful! Wonderful place to stay! A group of 12 friends stayed in this cabin for a long weekend, it was a winter snowboarding trip. The location could not have been better, only 5 min from both ski/snowboarding resorts, Big Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Also, very close to a grocery store and gas, the lot is tucked away so you can see other homes but you're not right on top of each other so there is privacy.
The inside of the cabin is so beautiful and it was extremely spacious for 12 people, you could have fit more. The kitchen is amazing! It had everything we needed to cook homemade meals both nights we were there. The large grate room with a fireplace really set the mood for a winter getaway, the loft overlooking was very nice as well, it has a piano so when someone played you could hear it, very enjoying. The hot tub was nice after a day of snowboarding and there was also a hill in the back of the house so we went sledding too, which was very fun, the owner provided sleds.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying here and I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. The organizer was very helpful and kind, allowed us to check-in early and had the cabin ready for us on time.
My only reason for not giving this cabin a 5 star is because there was no salt provided for the outside walkways and driveway, it was very icy and we had a few people fall and cars were sliding back. We had to break up the ice ourselves with shovels we found in the garage, not the most ideal situation but we had to clear areas for the tires to keep the cars from sliding and us from falling. Thankfully nobody was hurt but salt should be provided especially in the winter months. Also, the master bedroom where I stayed was freezing! It seemed as if the heat does not travel there very well and the fireplace inside does not give off much heat, we had to put two extra blankets on the bed.
We had the most wonderful reunion at Castle Glen Estates with the grandparents, kids, and grandkids! This house was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 6 kids; never once did we feel cramped. The house was very clean. The theater room was a hit, as was the game room and piano. The kitchen is well-stocked and very well-organized. The main area is gorgeous. This was my first time booking with Destination Big Bear, so I wasn’t sure exactly how things worked. It ended up being pretty straightforward with almost all communication coming through text messages, which I ended up appreciating. This is probably the most flawless rental experience I have had. Thank you Destination Big Bear for a memorable trip, and we cannot wait to return to Castle Glen!
Amazing house. Great area. Will definitely book this house again.
I give this place 4 out of 5 stars just because a couple things like TV didn’t work and jacuzzi water didn’t get that hot. Other then that house was amazing. My whole family had a blast watching movies in the movie room and playing pool and table tennis. Would definitely book this house again I’m the future.
The cabin exceeded our expectations and although we had a large group everyone had their own space and it didn't feel crowded at all. Very comfortable accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Absolute total package!
This was everything it states plus more! It is a beautiful home with all of the listed features and then some. From smaller details like plentiful towels, blankets and pillows to the more advanced wish list like sleds and a hot tub, this home was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. We will absolutely stay in it again! A couple who visited us at the house for dinner has already booked their next vacation there. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home!

This home is beautiful, inside and out.
The open area concept of the kitchen/dinning/living room is great for entertaining large groups. There were 13 of us staying for the weekend, and there was plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked with most any appliance (including a rice cooker and large cube whiskey ice-tray courtesy of our forgetful group lol) and other essentials like cooking oil and seasonings.
The outside area is amazing as well, with a sloped hill that sometimes is covered with snow, and a hot tub and bocce court that was used early and often during our stay.
The house is also about 5-10 minutes away from Bear Mtn. and Snow Summit, as well as a couple local grocery stores and eateries.
There were a couple of issues that prevented us from giving the property 5 stars. During the first night, the heater wasn't working. We texted the property manager Jason, who in turn contacted the owners to adjust the thermostat remotely. Though it seemed to work during the day, later the next night it stopped working again. Also, we seemed to run out of hot water after the first few showers of each morning.
Despite these minor hiccups, the property and service we received were excellent. We appreciate the beautiful home and look forward to staying here in the future. Thanks!
