The hot tub is provided for your use and the water has been treated to ensure it is correctly balanced. Hot tubs pose similar risks to swimming pools, as well as having their own dangers. Here are some hot tub safety rules:
1) The hot tub is to be used responsibly and it is not to be used as a substitute wading pool by children. Allowing children to jump or dive into the water is not permitted under any circumstances. Children must not use the spa unsupervised at any time. No infants or toddlers in the spa. 2) Please shower before using the spa to remove make-up, sun screen, insect repellent or any oil-based products. 3) Only clean swimwear may be worn in the spa as the chemicals in the water will remove the colored dyes found in ordinary clothing, causing them to leach into the water and turn it cloudy. 4) Prevent accidental drowning. Leave the hot tub cover on and latched when the spa is unsupervised. 5) Prevent Hyperthermia. Understand that alcohol and other medications greatly increase the chance of hyperthermia. This occurs when the internal body temperature reaches several degrees above the normal temperature of 98.6 degrees. 6) Keep all glass AWAY from the spa. 7) Pregnant women and elderly people should consult their doctor before using the spa. 8) Do not use the spa if you are under the influence of alcohol. 9) No smoking is permitted in or around the spa. 10) People with cuts or external infections should not use the spa.

Beautiful house we love the staying, there was no internet but honestly thanks to that my family spent time together. Other than that overall it was a good cabin.
The Doe Creek Cottage was the perfect house for our family getaway! It was in a great location, making all of the Big Bear activities easily accessible. The property owners were very responsive in all aspects of the stay, promptly responding to a couple of questions and even having batteries delivered so our kids could enjoy the Wii!
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very charming. The owner was extremely helpful. Great location. We would highly recommend and will be back!

The host was good about responding but the house was not good. Very run down and not very clean. Stained carpet, cracked linoleum, mold, kitchen cabinets disgusting (especially the lower ones, hair on bathtub. I have photos if you wish me to send them. In addition, the fireplace never worked properly. We had to keep the door closed to keep the smoke from filling the house but with the door closed, no warmth was felt. The thermostat was not working properly. We could never get it up to 70 degrees. It would get to about 65 and then go back to 55 degrees. When we could finally get the living room/TV area comfortable enough to be able to enjoy a movie the bedrooms became too hot to sleep in. We froze and all of us went home with a cold. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The house was very much overpriced.

Beautiful place but taken over by mice!
Well let me start off by saying the rental property is beautiful and in a nice area BUT we were ran out by mice! :( It was so bad that we had to check out a few days early and this horrible experience has traumatized my 8yr old.
Just as advertised! This was the perfect home for a fun family vacation. Great location and great amenities. My son really enjoyed the foosball table and sledding in the backyard. Leanne was great at communicating and was very responsive. Highly recommended
This review will be so easy because it will be so positive.
First, if you are wondering if the photos are accurate - they are but they don't capture as much as the cabin has to offer. When we first walked in, my jaw dropped because it's so large. The layout of the cabin is perfect. The cabin was spotless. It is nestled on a large piece of property that has plenty of trees that provide shade all day. In fact, when we first arrived, I thought the place had AC because I was kind of cold but found out there is no AC but we never missed it because it's just super cool inside. Must be insulated very well plus the shade of the trees provides so much protection from sun.
The living room has a very warm and inviting feel. I love that if you are in the kitchen, you can see what's going on in the living room and TV. The TV is awesome! We were very pleasantly surprised at how clean the jacuzzi was. There were windows everywhere and while I was very happy about that, I was more happy that the window cils were super clean.
Each room is very comfortable, complete with places to sit in addition to sleeping. The master bathroom was incredible! The shower and bathtub - so beautiful - in fact, the entire cabin is furnished with the nicest appliances, and top notch decor. The only thing that I thought about while there were the lights used for the recessed lighting in the living room. They are super bright and the lighting kind of takes away from the overall homey cozy feel. I also wished that the bench on the front porch was a swing instead of a stationery bench.
Our dogs loved the outdoor property. There's lots of room for them to run around and while I checked our dogs' paws daily for burrs they may have accumulated, there were none.
The street is quiet. I saw a review where someone was talking about the close proximity to a school. First, the cabin is several blocks up from the school. Second, the only portion of the school that you can see from the front porch is a very nice outdoor track field. We were there during the week when school was in session and we never heard a thing. The only kids we saw were those that were on the track and field team and we saw a group run by the cabin in the afternoon - to us, it was entertaining and we clapped and cheered them on.
I can’t wait to go back. Thanks to our hosts who were responsive and helpful. This will be our go-to Big Bear cabin for the foreseeable future.
We had a great trip celebrating my husbands birthday with our 9 year old daughter, 6 year old nephew and family. It was the kids first time in snow and the huge backyard was packed with snow! The house was beautiful and VERY family friendly with foosball, DVDS, video games and more. The owner thought of everything from a coffee bar set up to games the whole family can play. The house is very close to town but far enough away that it isn’t too busy. We would definitely go back!
Home was nice and clean, it had all we needed. Close to everything and had all we needed for cooking. Had complimentary coffee for us which was nice. Easy to access home and easy to contact owner and had enough items to clean up. On a Side note. I loved I could take my pet. Home does not have gate all around property.
This property was perfect for what we needed. We took our kids (ages 3, 5 and 7) up to Big Bear to relax and have some time together as a family. The house was perfect for that. It has an open floor plan that allowed us all to be together to watch movies, play games, play foosball, cook/bake together. It’s in a really central location and close to everything, yet in a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our time there and our kids didn’t want to leave!! Owner was very easy to communicate with and check-in/check-out was a breeze. I highly recommend this property.
This property is in a very good location, a nice size with a very cute look. The property owners were very responsive and took care of a couple of issues we had as soon as we reached out. A big negative though is the very loud and noisy heating system. It kept us up most of the two nights we were there. It turned on and off all night with a booming noise. In addition it was way too hot in the bedrooms but stayed cold in the main living areas. Sorry that we can’t give our experience a more positive review but sleep is a #1 factor for enjoying a get away. In addition this home needs updating - new cabinets and better linens. We couldn’t find any extra pillow cases or towels and master mattress very lumpy. We had a nice weekend, enjoyed the jacuzzi and the space but needed sleep!
What a beautiful home! This cute cottage had everything we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was clean, the hot tub was perfect and the yard was full of snow. The homeowner was responsive to any question(s) we had. We would definitely return for another stay.
Very lovely property and clean. Property was as described. Nice location and had all the amenities needed. The owner went well beyond making sure guest feel welcomed. From having a coffee station, to nice linens and very comfy mattresses. Will definitely return!!
Overall a great little place. It just needs some small things fixed and new pillows. Kitchen is well equipped, but was missing a colender. Hot tub works well, but could use a new control panel and definitely needs a new cover.
