Convenient location for skiing/snowboarding - five minute walk to a gondola center that takes you to Canyon Lodge (another 10 minute ride); clean and comfortable. Easy access to a community hot tub/sauna. Cheers

Great location but run down
Excellent location but cabin is run down and was poorly cleaned prior to our check in. Cabin needs updating and an in depth cleaning
It was a very nice two day get away. Beautiful views and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets made for great mealtime ambience. The deck is a wonderful place to sit relax and visit. The kitchen was very adequately supplied. The coffee maker should be replaced. It took some effort to work the grill but once we figured out the igniter wasn't working and that there was a timer on the gas line it worked fine. Everything was clean and well supplied. It is very homie. Too many remotes for me but the kids were able to figure them out. Something of a path down to the lake would be nice to not have to fight the weeds. We did have a problem with the sewer line but they were very prompt about getting someone out to fix it. And the repair crew (Plumbers) were very nice. I look forward to doing it again!
It was a fabulous! Great lake views. And the cabin was fully fitted with cooking necessities etc - and best of all, the feel of the Big Bear vibe throughout with its furnishings and decor.
Perfect getaway in a great cabin on the water cabin. Sunrise views and a short stroll to town. Cabin was clean and cozy. Rustic old school Big Bear at it's finest.
The location, patio and view were exactly what we were looking for; however, the property itself could use a little TLC. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and look out at the lake, but just know what to expect going in.
Dowstairs room has one king bed, upstairs has one queen size and two twins. They do provide extra blankets if needed as it does get cold at night. Kitchen has a coffee machine, toaster, microwave… they also have cups, coffee mugs, utensils, cutlery, plates bowls..Some pots and pans. But if you have KIDS be sure to CHECK under the couch. My kid found a VAPE and A LIGHTER, maybe someone from the previous stay dropped it.
The best part of this cottage was the view out to the lake. The interior is quite dated and it can get quite stuffy in the bedrooms at night as the air-conditioning doesn't work. The deck was very nice though. There is a bbq grill and we could sit on the deck for our meals with a view of the lake. The cleaning fee was pretty expensive and despite charging us, we are still expected to take our trash with us and put the dishes away when we check out. View is rated 4 stars and the cottage is rated 3 stars
The cabin had character and was neat and clean. They really do need to get a new bed in the downstairs bedroom though. It's listed as a king size--not true. And it is very soft and mushy :( Also, if the thermostat seems like there is air conditioning...there is not. Fans available though.
1. Upstairs bedroom door cannot be closed from the outside. Doorknob missing.
2. Coffee pot is not operational....it took a good hour for the water to go through the filter.

A tear down cabin
Never the one to post anything negative I can tell this is by far the worst vacation I have ever booked. Cob webs everywhere, cabin had a very unpleasant odor and was over all not fit for inhabitants! Add to that the floor had a 6 degree plus pitch to it. Me girlfriend stated it was giving her vertigo....if it was possible to give it zero stars I would..
Profoudly dispointed!
Wow!! Looking for a great little cabin with a killer view of the lake and marina, this is your spot!! Spent 5 days at this wonderful cabin and had an awesome time. Centrally located to the village and everything you need, this place has it all. First time to Big Bear and highly recommend!! Can't say enough about this place! Sept. & Oct. are perfect times to be here. Bring a book, some booze, buy some groceries and your set!! Hope to get back one day!!
