The good: clean cabin on a quiet street with updated bedding for a reasonable price. It was nice to have 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The bad: very dated interior, wobbly chairs, no lamps or outlets near beds, no dishwasher and no drying rack. Very limited space in the kitchen makes it difficult to dry dishes without a drying rack. Antique coffee machine is interesting to look at, but with all the ancient plastic it is not safe to use - please consider providing a French press for future guests. The ugly: poor cabin management and communication. 3 days before the trip (holiday weekend!), the host (or someone on his behalf) informed me that someone else had booked the cabin before me and I need to cancel. No apologies! The reservation was non-refundable, so I had to spend 2 hours on the phone with VRBO support to get it canceled from their end to get the refund. Immediately after VRBO processed the cancellation, the host messaged me again and said that it was an error and asked me to rebook. I rebooked and fortunately we were able to go on our trip, but I definitely did not need that hustle and stress. Furthermore, we received the entry instructions less than 3 hours before the check in time AND the provided wifi instructions were not correct. Nobody picked up the phone when I called the office, but fortunately, I was able to find the correct network name and password on the back of the router behind TV.
