"Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude. Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back. A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day. Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again."

The Royal Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Checked okay parking was close, the lift was out of order so walked to room not really a problem, but staff member sent me me on a 10min walk around the hotel with their instructions on how to get to the room, I later discovered a much quicker way using an alternative staircase, room was clean and well maintained. WiFi not the best but definitely useable. I cannot comment on food as I didn't eat in the hotel but there are some nice restaurants nearby."

"Had an excellent stay at Sailors Rest; we had room one which is at street level so some noise was to be expected. Room itself was much larger than expected and bathroom likewise. All freshly decorated and spotless. Parking on the street is a lottery but there is a public carpark within a minutes walk. Location right on the quay and easy access to everything. We were blessed with calm sunny days so each morning the quay was a hive of activity with sailing clubs; fishing boats etc"

"Comfortable bed. Nice room. Espresso machine in room - excellent. Blinds were a bit broken and not blackout. Single glazing which was mostly ok at this time of year but anyone or vehicle who did go past definitely disturbed our sleep. Bath towels were small, not bath sheets. Lovely friendly staff. Good vibe. Chilled. No parking which we didnt realise until we got there. Would be useful to have that flagged before travelling so you can go straight to one of the public car parks."

"The house was very comfortable, especially the beds. The host was easy to get hold of, we had trouble getting the downstairs television to work, I emailed her and she replied quickly. I found the stairs very steep and with the bathroom downstairs, my husband and myself slept in the single beds downstairs. We had trouble with the oven and informed Stephanie and she is looking into getting it changed. The property is very cosy and in a gorgeous location. The view from the garden is more than you could wish for. Anyone thinking of going there would not be disappointed but be aware of the steep staircase."

"The cottage was perfect and an incredible place to stay. It was like living at home with everything you could ever need. It is set in beautiful countryside with a wonderful garden providing so much fun for the children. We were a group of 6 adults and five children including a 5 week old baby and a dog. There was so much to see and do but if we wanted to go out the beaches and towns were a short drive away. The house is full of games and toys and outside sports equipment and you have never seen so many books to read - it was like living in a library! Tom, the host, was so kind and helpful and made the whole stay so enjoyable. We would love to come again!"
