Bryn Afon - a snowdonia house that sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms
Bryn Afon seems to hover above the Afon Llugwy in the centre of Betws y Coed, just over Pont y Pair and the incredible torrents and waterfalls which flow beneath it. Visitors flock to see this gorgeous spot where you have fantastic views either from one of Bryn Afon's riverside terraces or from the comfort of the house itself. Ideal for large family groups or getting together with friends with mountains and footpaths almost on your doorstep.
This handsome house sits in perhaps the finest position in Betws y Coed. Enter through the porch and vestibule and you'll find a Bolthole rich in beautiful period features. There's large, well-equipped kitchen, a spacious dining/living room and separate snug. All flooded with light which cascades through the sash windows - there are stunning views of the river and bridge.
Down the steps to the lower ground floor which houses a handy utility room with washing machine and dryer, a games room and a unique feature for us, a special bedroom just for furry companions. There's also a further shower room. Steps from the lower ground floor lead to a large parking area and storage sheds and over to a fenced river terrace. To the front of the house there is a beautiful sunny terrace with seating and the best views imaginable.
Climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find four double bedrooms, all with ensuite shower rooms. And the second floor has a further double bedroom with an adjacent shower room and a suite (double bedroom, sitting area and large shower room).
Betws y Coed is one of the most beautiful of Snowdonia's villages and a mecca for walkers and artists. There are good pubs, restaurants, art galleries, cafes, outdoor shops and Zip World Fforest within a stone's throw. The local Spar has an excellent bakery.
Walk along the idyllic riverside path upstream and you'll reach the Miner's Bridge and Swallow Falls within a mile, downstream beyond the Afon Llugwy's confluence with the Afon Conwy is the Fairy Glen and Conwy Falls.
The vast Gwydyr Forest surround the village and mountain bikers can access the famous Gwydyr Trails (Marin) from the house. Walkers can explore forests, lakes and mountains all from the doorstep. All of Snowdonia awaits! -Sleeps 12 in six double bedrooms (five double beds and one Super King size bed) -Shower room on Lower ground floor, shower room on first floor, all bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms or private shower room (no bath) -Ground floor dining/living room, drawing room, kitchen -Lower ground floor utility, games room and doggy bedroom -two river terraces -Ample parking for at least six cars -Large storage sheds -Two dogs welcome (additional charge)

Clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious, this home is in the centre of the village and a perfect base from which to explore the local area. Would definitely recommend.

Big Family break
Beautiful location and great property & very close to shops. Property had everything necessary for a week away. 2 of the rooms were on the small side but otherwise a lovely house. Had a lovely week.
Betws-y-Coed is special and the home made it even more so. Many people use this special place as a backdrop for their personal social media pics. Super location.
The property was perfect for our needs including location as the purpose of our stay was to visit ZipWorld to celebrate a 70th birthday. The property had everything we needed for all the generations. The games room was well used. It was good that pets were welcome too. We felt very at home and beautifully clean. Comes highly recommended. Thank you.
It’s a beautiful large house, perfect for a larger group, plenty of bedrooms all with en-suite which was great.Very well equipped kitchen so easy to cook for the family and lovely dining table. So many extras that make such a difference like the very warm boot room, brilliant for drying out wet coats and walking boots, washer and dryer, and fabulous dog room, plus a games room with a darts board, really something for everyone, and lastly the house couldn’t be in a more perfect position for the town and amenities and beautiful walks, overall couldn’t fault it and would love to return.
