"The property has a great view and is very convenient. It’s a landmark hotel and is the first hotel in Interlaken. Take this at face value. There’s no a/c, I blew the circuit with a euro-friendly hairdryer, there were wires hanging out of the wall next to our room, and our bathroom ceiling started leaking around 11pm. We told reception and her response was “they must have flooded the bathroom upstairs.” She offered us different rooms but it was too late to switch. We had a nice balcony but...

This photo is a bit of special #adventure memory for me, as I took this photo the night after my birthday. While I was getting old, and thinking how small we are compared to the infinite time and scale of the universe, the glacier was saying it out loud with a rocking sound of cracking ice. Aletsch glacier - the longest glacier in the alps, but it shrinks every year, and it might disappear one day. I could have easily stayed there the whole night, but I had to go, as in the morning I had to run half marathon up and along the slopes of the glacier again.
