Super friendly staff. We arrived almost last minute due to traffic from the eclipse but they were super friendly and the place is charming.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wayside Inn. Staff were nice. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and the view of the river was wonderful. Property is older but that was part of the charm staying at this inn.

This is the our third stay at the Wayside Inn. We love the proximity to the ski areas and town and that it is pet friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is great.

Perfect spot for relaxation, sleeping next to a river just lulled me to sleep. Breakfast was delicious, close to skiing and hiking, and the cup of clam chowder I had at dinner was the best I’ve ever had. Sarah and the rest of the staff made me feel welcome.

Sweet b&b experience
Slept like a baby in the room with two twins, which was the perfect place after backpacking with my brother. Clean, spacious, comfy and elegant. Staff were friendly. Full hot breakfast included, overlooking the river.

Arrived shortly before 7:00 pm for a one night stay. The room was clean, but a little dated. The grout around the tub needed attention. The view from our room was lovely with the river running past and fall color. The sound of rushing water made for a good night's rest. Since it was late, we made a 7:00 pm reservation for dinner, which was delicious. Absolutely no complaints. Breakfast in the morning was good American style eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, etc. It was hot and the coffee was good. Friendly staff at check-in and in the restaurant. I would stay there again if in the area.

The people are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were wonderful and the meals at the restaurant were a joy. We will be back again ! The hotel is clean and spacious and close to what our Locations for fall foliage. The only thing negative was the shower curtain — a curved one in this day and age so it doesn’t touch you when you shower would be wonderful.

Wayside Inn stay - October 2023
Rooms are a good size, but the place in is need of some decoration. Breakfast was included in the price and the hotel also has a bar and offers an evening restaurant service (although both were closed on the day we arrived which was a disappointment). Located a few miles out of town meaning you have to drive to get to a bar or restaurant.

The staff was nice and accommodating. As an old inn, you expect it to have the characteristic wear, but the carpet in our room had many stains and there was a used washcloth left hanging over the shower head. The mattress was old and very uncomfortable. The breakfast, dinner, and bar was really good though.

This unique property was perfect for my family. We liked learning about the history of the place. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and clean and filled with antiques. We ate from the restaurant and had drinks at the bar. An overall great experience.

Not worth the price! The website shows beautiful photos of rooms. The photos don’t show bed mattresses that are old and very uncomfortable. Hordes of unused furniture scattered around the premises. The entire inn smells like my grandparents basement. My room being on the front of the house I had to listen to the highway all night.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at The Wayside. The staff, especially Montana, were friendly and helpful. The room was exactly what we needed and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

This is a very old B & B that is truly unique. I loved the historical furnishing. Be aware there is no TV in room, but a very comfy TV room in a den setting. Internet great so we watched our computer. Unfortunately our room which was very large with a King bed did not have any or enough heat and it was 43 degrees outside. I had my own blanket thank goodness. Also the rooms are NOT soundproof. Noise from both the hall and rooms above was loud! We had a beautiful view of the river and breakfast was awesome.

We just slept over as we came in late and left early in the morning. Close to the Mount Washington Cog Train. Clean place, very polite staff. Definitely will go back if I am drive pass there. Thank you!
