About this property
The Havana Cabana | Log Cabin Escape
Summary:
Step off the porch with your boots, snowshoes, or skis already on—at Havana Cabana, 100 acres of private White Mountain wilderness begins where the lawn ends. This Bethlehem, NH log cabin blends rustic warmth with modern comforts, including vaulted pine ceilings, a cast-iron wood stove, a full chef-ready kitchen, and a loft suite with a spa-style bathroom. Sleeps 8 across two main-floor bedrooms and a private loft, with Ammonoosuc River access. Cannon and Bretton Woods are both 20 minutes away.
The Space:
You'll arrive down a quiet gravel drive to a covered log porch lined with hickory rocking chairs — the spot you'll claim tomorrow morning with a cup of coffee while the forest wakes up. A keyless smart lock lets you in without a key handoff or a lockbox scramble. Step through the door and the cabin opens all at once: vaulted pine ceilings crossed by exposed timber beams, clerestory windows pulling daylight deep into the room, and warm wood on every surface.
★ Main Level — Living, Kitchen & Dining ★
The heart of the space is a cast-iron wood-burning stove set on a slate hearth — the reason nobody moves much on a cold evening. A leather recliner and a matching sofa face a smart TV for streaming your favorites, and high-speed WiFi keeps everyone connected.
The kitchen flows right off the living room, so whoever's cooking is never cut off from the conversation. It's a full kitchen, not a cabin kitchenette: stainless steel appliances, electric range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, granite counters, a Keurig coffee bar, and a complete set of cookware, bakeware, baking sheets, and a full knife set. A dining table for four sits between the two spaces, with stools for anyone who'd rather perch. Vinyl plank flooring runs throughout the main living area, with carpet in the two main-floor bedrooms.
★ The Bedrooms ★
Two bedrooms sit just off the open living area, both on the main floor:
✔ Bedroom 1 — Queen bed with a closet and dresser. Quiet, carpeted, and steps from the main-level bathroom.
✔ Bedroom 2 — Twin-over-full bunk bed with its own dresser. Built for kids and sleeps three.
★ The Loft — Private Suite & Workspace ★
Up the log-railed staircase, the loft is the cabin's best-kept secret. A queen bed sits under the pitched pine ceiling with a ceiling fan and vintage snowshoes on the wall, and a folding privacy divider closes the sleeping area off from the open railing. Hardwood floors and an open rail overlook the living space below.
At the top of the stairs, a proper workspace with a desk, chair, and window looks out over the main floor and into the trees — a real option if someone needs to log on for a few hours. Best of all, the loft has its own en-suite spa-style bathroom, so the upstairs functions as a private suite.
★ The Bathrooms ★
Two full bathrooms serve the cabin. The main-level bathroom features a tub/shower combo — convenient for families with young kids. The loft's en-suite bathroom is the spa-style one: a tiled walk-in shower behind sliding glass, a stone-inset niche, and a vanity with a framed mirror.
★ The Outdoors ★
The covered front porch is the morning spot — rocking chairs, forest views, and mountain air. Off the kitchen door, a paver patio holds a picnic table, two chairs, and a Charbroil propane grill with propane provided. Grill up after a day in the mountains and eat in the cool evening air. Across the yard, a wood-burning fire pit waits for s'mores and a sky full of stars.
★ Your Private 100 Acres & River Access ★
This is what sets the Havana Cabana apart. Guests here have exclusive private access to the Ammonoosuc River and a 100-acre parcel of wilderness for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. No trailhead parking lot, no crowds, no waiting — just your own stretch of White Mountain forest, right out the front door. Lace up your boots or clip into your skis on the porch and go.
★ Sleeping Summary ★
✔ Bedroom 1 — main level — Queen bed
✔ Bedroom 2 — main level — Twin-over-full bunk bed (sleeps 3)
✔ Loft — upper level — Queen bed with en-suite bathroom
✔ Living room sofa — sleeps 1
✔ Sleeps up to 8 guests | Ideal for 6–7

The Neighborhood:
Located in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, the Havana Cabana sits in the heart of the White Mountains with views toward the White Mountain National Forest. Bethlehem is a quiet, historic town known for its mountain air, artistic character, and central position — you're tucked away from the crowds but still close to nearly everything the region is known for.
Downtown Littleton is just 8 miles (about 15 minutes) away, with a historic Main Street full of independent shops, restaurants, breweries, and the covered bridge over the Ammonoosuc River. It's one of the most charming small downtowns in northern New England.
Skiers and riders are well positioned in either direction. Cannon Mountain is 13 miles (about 20 minutes), with Franconia Notch State Park, the Flume Gorge, the Basin, and the Aerial Tramway all in the same corridor. Bretton Woods is also 13 miles (about 20 minutes) and is New England's largest ski area, home to the Mount Washington Cog Railway and the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Lincoln and Loon Mountain are 25 miles (about 35 minutes), offering more skiing, dining, shopping, and the western gateway to the Kancamagus Highway.
Beyond the slopes, the Presidential Range, Twin Mountain, Mount Washington, and North Conway are all within an easy scenic drive. Warmer months bring waterfalls, swimming holes, kayaking and fishing on nearby lakes, and some of the best hiking in the Northeast. Fall foliage here is genuinely world-class — the drive alone is worth the trip.
This is a true year-round destination: skiing and snowmobiling in winter, hiking and paddling in summer, foliage in fall, and quiet trails in spring.
Getting Around:
A personal vehicle is required. Rideshare and taxi service are unreliable this far into the White Mountains, and there is no public transit nearby. Free parking is available on site.
From the cabin, the Bethlehem Village Store on Main Street is about 5 minutes for groceries, deli, pizza, and essentials, and downtown Littleton is 15 minutes for larger grocery stores, gas, restaurants, and shopping. It about a 20 minute drive to both Cannon Mountain and Bretton Woods. I-93 and Route 302 are easily accessible, allowing for smooth day trips to Franconia Notch, Lincoln, North Conway, and beyond.
The driveway is gravel. During winter months, a vehicle equipped for snow and mountain driving conditions is strongly advised.
