We had a nice stay at the Campfire Lodge. It had everything we needed for our stay. We felt comfortable and cozy all weekend and enjoyed the hot tub while watching the snow fall. Very close to the slopes and no issues arose with the property.
We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this A-Frame cabin located less than a mile from Big Powderhorn. Check in was simple. Everything worked. Some of the kitchen items (pots, skillets, utensils, silverware, glassware) could be improved but overall a great stay!
This place really knocks it out the park it was perfect for our family it was spacious and beautifully decorated
The washer and dryer were a wonderful extra especially with 3 boys
We loved the sauna and hot tub
The rooms and bathrooms were grrat too everyone had thier own space
This was probably one of my favorite vk rentals ever and im fussy
Thank you we will be back for our annual ski trip next year
Came up to the UP for a weekend ski trip and this year despite the lack of snow had a good day of skiing at Snow River in sweatshirts! The campfire Lodge was perfect for our family of 6. The bedrooms are close together upstairs, which is fine for a family and great to have two bathrooms. The kitchen is very nice and the dining area was great for playing cards. Loved having a large sectional so we could all laugh about our day. We will definitely come back. Location is perfect at Powderhorn Village. Communication with Shawn was amazing. He responded twice to two of my questions, and very easy to deal with. five stars for him.
Very happy with our stay. The unit is well cared for and maintained. The living room, dinning room, and kitchen are very spacious. Having access to two full-size bathrooms with washer and dryer was a huge plus. Easy access to skiing at Big Powderhorn. We look forward to many return trips.
Our group of 4 adults and 4 kids had a wonderful stay. We went to snowmobile during spring break and were able to ride directly from the lodge. The sauna was great after a long, cold day of riding. I asked questions prior and was answered promptly. The description was spot on. We were very pleased with our stay! Thank you!
We had a very nice time staying in the A Frame on Powderhorn Mountain. A couple of things to mention though, the hot tub had sand in the bottom, there was a broken oscillating fan in the upstairs bedroom, the outside garbage can was completely full upon arrival so we had no where to put our garbage. I know you asked us to place our garbage outside in the can, but it was completely full. Otherwise, had a lovely time. Close to town, Black River Harbor, Little Girls Point. Thanks

Not what we expected
This is a very small rental and definitely not 3 bedrooms. The beds were ok, however the (extra) blankets were full of dust. The windows would not open. There was no activity field. There was no wood for a fire or fire starting utensils. The dishes were not clean. This was not a 5 star rental; which is what they asked people to give in the check out instructions.
The only thing that saved this rental was the comfortable couch and chair in the living room, the hot tub, and sauna.
If cleanliness or quality is what your looking for I would stay away from this rental.
this was a great place to stay. would recommend to anyone with close family. sleeping space was small but all we needed. the place was well stock with all you needed and then some.
The cabin was a clean and fun place for our family/friends getaway weekend for the Fall color change. Location was great as it was central to the various hiking/waterfall/Superior destinations we were seeking.
Our trip idea was to be somewhere quiet, peaceful and comfortable as we're a bit too old for tents.
Shawn's place was perfect. Beds comfortable. Plenty of amenities. Also only a short jaunt off of the main roads.
We visited from Maple Grove, MN on a motorcycle trip (880 miles). Beautiful area. We branched out a different direction every day. Plenty to see and visit then came back to the vrbo for a nice hot tub soak in the evening.
Thank you Shawn for the wonderful 5 day stay! I will be recommending to friends and family.
Our family has been going to this area for 18 years. Normally we stay with family. This time, we decided to get a place since we brought our sons (18) girlfriend (19) and my daughter (16) brought one of her friends. Still found time to enjoy time with the family and to have our quiet and cozy A-Frame+ chalet which had plenty of room, two bathrooms, big living area and great kitchen space. Hot tub on porch, sauna (infrared), in main bedroom. They even had a dishwasher and laundry. Coffee maker, full dishes. Really don’t need to bring much other than food and cold beverages. They stocked games and a huge l-shaped couch, with big TV. Good parking area at end of road. Just perfect and we anticipate getting this place again when we head back. Final thought, easy access to check in and check out. Host responded when we reached out, but was otherwise like it was our own place. :-)
