"This was a fantastic boutique hotel. Service was amazing and parking was $3 euro a day. The only thing I would have to say is that the beds were too soft and not comfortable in my opinion. If you prefer a firmer mattress I would not recommend this one. Otherwise it was perfect."

"Had a superb three night stay at the Westport Coast hotel in October. The location is simply superb, on the quay, looking out over a few boats and the bay beyond. Worth specifying a room at the front, just for the view. Accommodation is also excellent, in my view faultless. The restaurant is on the top floor with a conservatory on one side giving views towards Croagh Patrick: we caught a stunning sunset and three atmospheric mornings. Food is great. The staff are sometimes a bit too efficient, but no complaints there. It's a 30 minute walk through the grounds of Westport House into the town itself, or 20 minutes along the road. There's a car park behind the hotel but I preferred the overflow which is huge and only two minutes walk from the front door. Check in was easy. The spa is great but was suffering from some technical difficulties when we were there. Treatments were excellent. A superlative modern hotel in a beautiful vintage location. "

The entire place is well appointed, well lit, and spotless. Check in, parking, and communication with the host was a breeze, and my only regret is not booking a longer stay. We unfortunately arrived later than intended, so I cannot comment on Newport as a town, but it seemed very nice while driving through. It would be a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area and county."
