Built in 2009 this house is perfect for your family with tons to do. Located on the 'Quietside' of Mount Desert Island boarding Acadia National Park and 23 acres of woods. Very private woodsy setting just minutes away from hiking, biking, water recreation and more. The village of Southwest Harbor is just minutes from the property and Bar Harbor is only 20 minutes.

Serene Retreat with Amazing Pool - Perfect Island Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The highlight for us was definitely the pool and the beautiful property. It provided a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the island. The location was serene and just what we needed. We would love to stay here again!

Great house in great location

Had a great family vacation at this house. Has all the amenities you could ask for and then some. Great pool area and hot tub, basketball court, playground and all kinds of games. Perfect for kids

Fun get get away with a couple friends

Had a great time ! We picked a very cold weekend to be in Maine, so we mostly stayed indoors. Everyone had a great time. Easy check in and out. Super private.

Arcadia Vacation

Loved the house, pool & hot tub. My family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. This home was wonderful, kitchen was fully stocked with everything for cooking. Pool was enjoyed by all. Property was large & isolated from neighbors which allowed us to have nightly fires, watching the stars & the kids loved having smores by the fire. The stars at night were unbelievable The only downfall was the amount of traveling needed to get to our planned daily activities but would not change it.

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this house! We have a crew of boys and they were so busy the whole time. Whenever we weren't out, they were busy playing ping pong, in the hot tub or the pool, playing basketball, making campfires or looking at stars. They are all begging for us to go back because we didn't have "enough time." Hosts were very responsive and kitchen was very well stocked. We cooked nearly all our meals there.

Cannot oversell this enough!

The photos don't do this property justice. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained, we saw lots of deer and turkey along with a few native birds. The pool was clean and maintained, as well as the hot tub. Everything you could possibly need and then some in the kitchen. Cell service was spotty, so the extended wifi was really nice. Owner was very communicative and easy to reach - literally 0 complaints!

Quiet Side of Acadia

Away from the crowds and tourists of Bar Harbor, but within a 30 minute drive to town if you venture out that way. This home has something for everyone to enjoy - indoor pool, basketball court, ping-pong table, fire pit surrounded by nature, wildlife and trees. Great for star gazing as there’s no light pollution to detract from the views. We took advantage of the numerous nearby trails as well. The home & grounds were clean, the owners were friendly and respectful. Would definitely recommend for a family or group of friends.

Absolutely beautiful property

We are a family of 7 adults. This house had more than enough room and it was fantastic. The house is secluded and so peaceful yet only a short drive to anything on the island we wanted to visit. Morning coffee on the porch was almost therapeutic. The kitchen and pantry are the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had at a VRBO property. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet yet fun stay. The indoor pool was a huge hit for rainy days!

Quiet side

This home is huge and quite beautiful. It only has 3 bedrooms, which was perfect for our family. We didn't use the indoor pool but it was bigger than anticipated. We did use the hot tub and it was great after a full day of hiking. It did have a bit of a mildew smell but it didn't deter us. The firepit was great for smores. We bought firewood but there was some left there from former renters, too. Full court outdoor bball court for shooting a few hoops while waiting on the family. It is a bit if a drive into Bar Harbor but we got used to it.

Perfect Christmas

We got lucky with the weather and had a snowy Christmas! It snowed on Christmas Eve, we had the Christmas tree and a toasty fire and our family at this wonderful property! Plentiful room for us and lots of activities for our children, games room, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and lots of tv’s in every room. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas oven is very similar to mine at home and this all felt home from home. We didn’t stay at the property for time outside and exploring as this was our Christmas getaway, plus it was snowy and cold and very warm and fun to stay in. Also we were excited to see the Deer family visit outside the window. This was a very special memory for us all and one we won’t forget. Superb.

Favorite Vacation!

For the past 5 years we have gone on vacation with friends, our 2 daughters and theirs (ranging from 6 to 11). Out of all the places we agreed hands down this was our favorite by far! We spent each day hiking mid-day and then hanging by the pool and hot tub in the evenings. Very remote, but close to areas to shop and eat. The house was clean and much bigger than we expected. Perfect for the 8 of us. We did meet owners during the week when they came to mow and check the pool and they were super nice and wonderful to talk with. We have only been home a day, but ready to go back!

House is insanely wonderful

I hate to give all 5 stars because it may be too busy next time I want to return! This is my second time staying here, and the owners are incredibly communicative and hospitable. The kitchen is well appointed with tons of items to use - not every rental can say that! The Keurig has a pod to spoon your own grounds into. Obviously the pool and outside playground was a hit with the kiddos, and the hot tub was a hit with us adults. And the kids slumber partied in the second floor TV area, so adults had their own spaces. It was pretty fantastic! Its address may be funky on your GPS, so use Seal Cove as a town entry and you'll be right on the money.

Family retreat in Mount Desert Island

Loved our stay here in late May. Spacious clean home in whisper-quiet setting. Enormous well equipped gourmet kitchen. We prepared almost all our meals here, and enjoyed them in adjacent dining area or on large deck. Large comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of room to spread out, and areas to regroup and spend time together. Our sons loved using the huge weightlifting and exercise room. Huge (acres?) flat yard yet surrounded by woods. Played frisbee in yard, and basketball on outdoor basketball court. Nice beach volleyball court, too. Pool house connected to main house is amazing and roomy. Hot tub looks brand new. There is also a large fire pit area with several chairs. It was easy to go on hikes from here to Bass Harbor, Wonderland, Beech Mountain, Jordan Pond, etc. Owners were super and helpful with addressing any questions. We will return.

Perfect Place to stay on the Island.

This was our third time at this amazing property. If seclusion is your thing, this is the place to stay. The eastern side of Mount Desert Island has become a crowded zoo. Bar Harbor is an overpriced, hectic area that has lost all its former charm. The quiet side, where this rental is located is the best area to stay. It is still close enough to venture into Bar Harbor if that is your thing. The night sky at this property is amazing! Not a single artificial light can be seen from this property. It is an astronomer’s paradise. The private indoor pool is a rare treat and great to relax in after some hiking and biking. The yard is spacious and has two fire pits, a basketball court and a sand volleyball area. The kitchen has anything you would need to prepare any type of meal. I can’t say enough good things about this property and have nothing to complain about. Stay here and have one of the best vacations of your life.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was needed after the full days of hiking and bike riding through Acadia. The kitchen was very well appointed, although we never cooked dinner as we enjoyed the Bar Harbor restaurants - More local to the house, be sure to check out the Sea Ketch restaurant… it was delicious. We were only home for one sunset, but it was lovely. Also we highly recommend sailing out on the schooner Margaret Todd, a Cessna flight through Scenic Tours of Acadia and biking the Carriage Roads. We highly would recommend the property and all that Acadia has to offer.

Spring break in Acadia!

Kids swam everyday, and parents enjoyed the solitude! Pretty close to Bar Harbor, a nice town with good cafes.
