Our stay at the yurt was incredible! It was beautifully designed — peaceful, quiet, and full of charm. The scent when you first walk in is so inviting, and every little detail inside feels thoughtful and well done. The interior was stylish and cozy, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. We even played a little outdoor ping pong while we were there! It was the perfect mix of comfort and fun. Highly recommend this unique getaway!
The yurt glamping was perfect. The property is amazing with activities and we were able to collect a couple eggs from the hens. Highly recommend this stay for any occasion.
Highly recommend a visit to these YURTS ! Kenya was very responsive during our stay over the Labor Day weekend. Our YURT was very clean upon arrival, equipped with dinnerware and all appliances worked flawlessly. We would also recommend visiting the Clark Point Cafe in Bernard. The tasty pastries are worth the wait at this popular eatery in the town of Bernard.
Nice experience as a family and enjoyed the stay at this beautiful yurt !!
Rooms, bathroom, Gazebo &Fireplace everything was nice.
My kids loved the Village animal ( chicken) area.
Property manager was very friendly and helpful.
We loved staying in the yurt. It was so charming and comfortable. We wish we had time to have a fire on our patio. We did play the lawn games which was fun. We wish we could have stayed longer!
The property was great. The owner was very helpful. It was a lovely property away from the beaten path. Would highly recommend it and would stay again.
The yurts were beautiful and we had a fantastic stay. This was a perfect place for my wife/myself and two kids (12 and 10) who shared a room with bunk beds. Inside of the yurt was impeccable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the quieter side and easy access into Southwest harbor and Acadia. Highly recommend!
This was our second stay at Acadia Wilderness Lodge and we loved it. On the quiet side of the island, a beautiful 20 min drive to Bar Harbor, and plenty of space for a family of 5.
The Yurt was clean, comfortable, and stocked with all the necessities. Perfect for a home base as you explore the area, or a cozy night in after a long day.
We'll definitly be back.
Clean environment. Welcomed in person for the check in process. Plenty of room in the yurt for three people as there is a separate living room and bedroom space. Overall, it was great - would definitely book again!
Everything was just amazing. My only compliant was that I wish we had a few more nights to enjoy the complex, oh (and maybe the rooster at 4 am LOL).
The property managers were outstanding! Friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. We can't wait to revisit. Thank you so much for everything. Wishing you much success in your future endeavors.
We had such a wonderful time staying at the Acadia Wilderness Lodge Yurt! This was our first time staying here and hope it will not be our last. The yurt was so nice inside and very clean. Our children loved the outdoor game area, making s’mores at the community fire pit, playing with some of the other children, and they even collected a couple eggs from the chicken coop one the morning! They were sad to leave and asked if we could stay another night.
The owner I met was so kind and it is evident she truly cares about the property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back another time down the road!
We loved it! High recommend if you want to be away from the crowds.
We are so glad we stayed at Acadia Wilderness Lodge! The yurt was super clean and very nicely decorated. The finishes were spa-like. The beds were comfortable. The temperature was fine too. You can hear outside noise - but they do provide ear plugs, but none of us used them. We had alittle rain which was a nice sound on the yurt. Management was responsive to an issue we had with water heater - took care of it ASAP - very professional and kind.
The location is near the park, but away from the crowds. Beech Mountain was a nice hike - entrance is close by. Southwest Harbor has restaurants & coffee shops less than 10 minutes away. I stayed at an Opal property in Bar Harbor last month when we came to the park. While that was nice - it was VERY touristy and crowded. I prefer the Acadia Wilderness Lodge and will stay there again in the future.
The picture in the listing showed 2 twin beds and a king size bed. The yurt we got had bunk beds, We made it work, but if that is an issue for you - be sure to clarify what you want for beds.
Again - we loved it. Nothing negative about our experience. Look forward to coming back!
Wonderful stay at AWL on MDI. Everything we needed was available and ready. Check in and check out were seamless. Enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
Beautiful property - they really thought of every details and was a fun change from a “house”. The yard games were so fun and fire pit was a perfect place to end the night!! Would definitely recommend this to others for a fun experience and clean stay!!
Very lovely place, host was easy to get in contact with. We would have loved to stay longer but it was a great introduction to the Acadia area!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
It worked out great for a one night stay with 5 family members and a dog. The yurts were beautiful and very clean inside. The only downsides were the parking lot filled up and the shower temperature was either cold or very hot.
Really cool and impressive place to stay. I don't usually write reviews but this place so exceeded our expectations. The website hardly does it justice. I found my new go-to place to stay when visiting Acadia.
Our family of 4 loved our stay in the yurt! The patio area behind the yurt with a grill was an added bonus. It allowed us to skip the crowd in town and grill out at the yurt and enjoy time as a family playing the provided yard games. We also loved the ability to gather fresh eggs from the chickens on site and enjoy healthy breakfasts before we started our day. Highly recommend!
We loved this property! The only downside was the bugs. We were so busy at the park in our two days there that we didn't really have much time to enjoy the outdoors at the property. But it was just as well since it was buggy.
