I would not book this hotel again and will not recommend to my friends. They did not mention that they are painting the walls on my floor and the smell was coming inside the room. Old and tired hotel but good value.

Firstly location is great, price is quite low compare to neighbouring hotels. The hotel does look stylish, but it is very old and needs repair, especially in the room. I stayed 7 nights, lots of things are broken like the toilet seat lid, the in room safe, acceptable due to the low price of the hotel. The room was kept quite clean, I had a great nights sleep on the comfy large bed. The Cable TV didn’t have any English channels as they needed to recharge the account. I complained and I got 1 English movie channel. The lobby restaurant was quite nice and served nice food. The buffet dinner was very filling and nice. Waiting staff were great and friendly. However waiting for a drink can take ages which is the same as the roof terrace bar. I ordered a mocktail and got a cocktail. There is no basement restaurant. It is only for functions. There is a KFC next to the hotel if you fancy something different or you can try the bar and restaurant at the lemon tree which is 3 doors away. The hotel room, needs a fire evacuation diagram behind the door. First time I’ve seen a hotel room without a fire evacuation map.

Terrible. dirty run down hotel not like the pictures. They didn't give fresh linen and tried to keep the previous customers bed sheets. I made them come and change everything. Generally unclean and nothing like it's description. If it wasn't for paying upfront I would have left that night. Avoid at all costs if you are accustomed to European cleanliness.

Overall very good with small issues

Overall was a good stay. Very silent and comfortable room. The internet connect is very very bad. Very slow and unstable. Wi-Fi worked only in specific spots in the room which was not good for me because I had to work from the room several times. One day the hot water has gone from the room and the Hotel couldn't do anything to help. I had to take a cold shower :). Overall is very good, service is good and Sky Louge has a great view.

If this is the Best, are there any others?

Let's not fret over the traffic, the drivers or the horns. That's just Delhi (or maybe India). But this hotel bills itself as the Best in the vicinity - which makes you wonder if there are any others. Actually, I'm sure it could be worse, and perhaps I'm just a bit grumpy that there was no hot water for the shower, or a shower curtain (so at least the bathroom floors were washed). The toilet was crooked. Bet you never thought about that, did you. The room smelled stale. The floors were grimy (maybe all the construction happening across the street?) And the staff, well there was no shortage of staff and they were very attentive, but English was not their strong suit. So, actually not so bad - but I would never stay there again. I'll stay downtown and take the Metro to my destination next time.

Wow Experience in Electronic city

I stayed at Svenska the experience was great. My company had booked a standard room and I was upgraded to Executive room - good choice. The room was good and room service food even better. Wifi worked and the staff, including the concierge go out of way to make your stay a nice one. I was traveling on business and would definitely stay here again. The staff were overly helpful and assisted us with shopping, dining, and more. Rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. TV and DVD player in room. There is a spa that I wish I would have tried out too. There is a Hotel driver you can hire for an allotted time and they will take you to the tourist places. I had limited time so that worked well. We also had a driver every morning that took us to the office. The food was good. We ate breakfast every morning and there were good choices. I would recommend this hotel to every business traveler to Bangalore.

Fabulous Hotel with Amazing Staff & Excellent Food

Being a frequent visitor to Bangalore, I have stayed at all the hotels in Electronic City. However, Svenska is in a different league altogether. Though the hotel is small and compact, but it has a big heart. Every staff member is so friendly, always with a smile on their lips. As soon as I entered, the receptionist greeted me and took me straight to a stylish lounge area, where I was offered a complimentary welcome drink while the check-in formalities were completed at the back-end. Then I was escorted to my room, where my personal butler met me and showed around the chic room. They have every kind of imaginable gadgets available from Sony Playstations to Nintendo Wii gaming consoles to DVD player, IPod Docking Station, IPad and so on. I was delighted to learn that they also offer complimentary massage in the comfort of the room, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The best part about Svenska was actualy yet to come. Their restaurants are simply outstanding. I ate several meals during my stay and each time, the food was amazing. The pricing is also most reasonable, whether it is the huge buffet spreads for lunch & dinner at Mesa Cafe (pricing around Rs.300-450) or the unlmited delicious kebabs at Soul costing only Rs.599. I would highly recommend Svenska as an outstanding hotel with exceptional service. Loved every moment of my stay and was pampered by their staff. Even their GM personally checked on me to ensure that I was comfortable. Well done and keep it up!!!

Extreamly unhappy with my stay

This was advertised as a 5 star hotel in Bangalore Electronic City. There is no car parking or can take a car near main entrance. Only 2 cars can be taken inside the hotel premises. Standard Rooms were so small that you could hardly walk around. Hotel did not open buffet breakfast due to low occupancy for 3 nights, so had to phone order. Food is absolutely shocking considering the 5 star price. It was a very basic breakfast, same food everyday. Entire hotel had around maximum 10 staff to serve. That will give an idea about the size of this hotel. Staff did all they could to make my stay comfortable, but unfortunately I expected and paid for a 5 star, so it was extreamly hard for them to do any better. Hotel did not have any other facilities, for example, no swimming pool, no business centre. Rooms does not have a bath tub, but they are clean. This hotel is very small, and I found it good only as a bed and breakfast kind of an arrangement.
