We recently stayed at this Sunriver home and absolutely loved the layout and location. The pool was just off the balcony, which was amazing for quick swims, and the private hot tub was a great bonus. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and there were plenty of extra towels, small details that made a big difference for our family.
Unfortunately, we had a major issue with the thermostat that put a real damper on our trip. The first night the temperature inside the home dropped to 52 degrees. The following nights it climbed to 80+ degrees, making it extremely difficult to sleep despite the box fans provided. When maintenance came out, they mentioned the Nest thermostat had ongoing issues and really needed to be replaced.
Initially, Vacasa responded to our call for help, but after that we were completely ghosted for the remainder of our stay. I followed up after our trip, spoke with a general manager who promised a call back that never came, and eventually only received a $160 refund after reaching out to corporate. I’ve used Vacasa many times before and expect small issues, but this was a major one that was not handled appropriately.
The home itself was great, and we would absolutely love to stay here again, if the thermostat is fixed. Sadly, the property management by Vacasa in Sunriver was truly disappointing. I hope the owners consider switching companies, because this property deserves better representation.
