This was a great central location for some of my family to meet us while we were going through town. We enjoyed the BBQ and full kitchen, dining table was large with great central space for all us. We spent a few hours using the SHARC passes, what a great addition to the rental stay. Thank you!
This home was very comfortable and well equipped for our extended family of six adults and a toddler. AC kept it cool and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the spacious and private deck and its view of the wooded area behind. It’s location near a bike path and close to Fort Rock Park was perfect for family bike rides, pickleball, and play time with our grandson. Would rent this house again.
We booked a week at this house for our family vacation. The house has ample room for our family of 5, it was nice to have the kids downstairs and have lots of games and a TV for them.
Things I wished I knew, the house is a split level you climb up the stairs to the door then another set of stairs to the kitchen/family room
and the master. If you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you.
There is a skylight in the master bedroom so if you want to sleep in bring a sleep mask because it gets bright early in the morning.
The deck was very shaky, it moved every time you walked on it which made us nervous. The hot tub is very deep, if you’re short you will not be able to sit where the jets are. We did have someone come out during our stay to treat it as we did use it almost daily.
Bikes need repairs. We ended up renting a couple bikes, we only used 2 bikes and rented 3. Both ping pong and the foosball table needs to be replaced.
Also bring coffee, the kitchen had almost everything except coffee.
The door lock is tricky, it took several try’s to get it to unlock.
Drove up from CA with my husband, 2 kids (10, 8), and small dog to meet my sister from Portland for Christmas. The house was perfect for the occasion - cozy, clean, large windows to watch all the snowfall. We brought a small tree, stockings, lights for the patio, etc. and had a Christmas we’ll never forget. The highlight for everyone was hot tubbing under the falling snow. The hot tub was full, clean, and serviced the day we arrived. House was also well-stocked to prepare Xmas dinner. We brought a lot of kitchen supplies, but most of what we needed was already there, which was nice. Kids were well-entertained, when not in the snow, with all the streaming services available on the TV - unfortunately, only one TV out of the 3 worked. We got the master bedroom to work with a generic universal remote, but only with casting. They also enjoyed the ping pong table and foosball table in the garage.Roads were cleared by 9AM after snowy nights, making for easy to get in and out of the neighborhood. This was a plus since we were asked to leave close to 10, rather than the 11:00 check out in the listing (the welcome sheet in the cabin says 10AM as well). On the positive side, host let us come early since there were no guests before us.The one drawback we experienced was the tremendous heat difference between the upper and lower floors. While the upstairs was a cozy 70, the two rooms downstairs were easily 20 degrees cooler. That aside, 100% recommended!!.
We enjoyed our stay at Quartz Mountain Retreat! Kids had fun biking around the loop and it was great being near Fort Rock Park. Would stay here again!!
Great and spacious home with deck/hot tub. Lots of room and kitchen had everything we needed. Would recommend for family and get togethers. Sharc passes were a plus as well!
Very clean, comfortable living room furniture. Master bedrom bed was a little soft for me. Plenty of board games to keep everyone occupied in the evenings and of course the ping pong table. Grand kids did realize I played alot of ping pong when I was younger.
This property had everything our family needed. This was our 3rd time staying at this house. I would love to see some updates as the house is starting to show its age and maybe a thorough cleaning.

The day of check in I messaged the owner asking for the code since I never received it. She messaged me back right away telling me what it was and informed me the house was ready. Shortly after check in someone knocked at the door asking if I had permission to check in already and was rude. After she left I messaged the owner after to see if I was ok checking in even though she said yes. My husband then proceeded to find a dirty band aid next to the night stand, hair in the shower, clothes left in some of the bedroom dressers and cosmetic products in the master bath drawer. I messaged the owner again about all of that. We checked in Friday and out on Monday. I never received a response once. A week after I messaged again expressing my irritation and she finally messaged back. However, even though overall the house was decent, the lack of cleanliness and response is enough for me to never stay here again.

Disappointed
We have been coming over to Sunriver for the 20 plus years. Although we had a good time as a family, I would have to say this is probably the worst property we’ve stayed at. The house overall was not clean. The carpeting is terrible. There were holes in the kitchen walls under underneath the cabinetry in which you could see exposed wiring. Downstairs, some of the air ducts did not have vents. The first day I messaged the host letting them know that the refrigerator water filter needed replacing. I thought maybe there were extra filters in the house, however, she never replied the entire stay. We ended up going and getting bottled water. Most of the bedding was very old, didn’t fit the bed properly. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were like pancakes. Again, we were super disappointed. Also, there was a misunderstanding after I booked the home initially because it was pet friendly and I paid my first deposit. A week or so prior to the second half payment was due, I looked at our confirm reservation, and the house was now listed as no pets? I would never reserve a house that was not pet friendly as I always bring our dog. I write away message the host and apparently the house since I’ve initially booked, it has now become a no pet home, but she said it was OK as long as we kept our dog off the furniture and kennel her when we were away from the home. Obviously as a pet owner this is something we would do no matter what.
Overall, a great, clean house that worked well for our family. There were a few things that might have made it even better, especially for what we paid per night. 1. Not sure if the hot tub is leaking but the first night we got in the water level was way too low, leaving the jets sounding like they were hating life. We found the hose in the garage and filled it up to a more appropriate level but by the next night, the water was back down to almost where it was the night before (~10-12 inches below the top). 2. The driveway, steps and back porch in front of the hot tub could maybe be maintained a little better during the winter months. There was freezing rain the day we got there so the entry drive was a sheet of ice. We have a truck so the driveway was doable but with the only lock on the front door up the stairs I could see that giving people problems. We just sent 1 person up to unlock the house and had all the kids come in through the garage. 3. The owner might need to speak with their cleaning person about finishing the laundry. We got in about 9 pm our first night and as we looked around didn't think there were enough towels. We discovered there was a load in the washer that had not been dried and put away. Doing laundry at 10 pm after driving 4 hours wasn't really what I was looking for to start a vacation and not really what I think is okay for what we were paying per night.
They have a nice selection of games the kids enjoyed as well as lots of summertime type equipment in the garage (bikes, a canoe, foosball table and ping pong table) that we just didn't get to use. You can also tell they have updated a number of things around the house and are in the process of updating more. Overall a good place to stay that with a few tweaks would be great!
We’ve come to Sunriver most summers and have always stayed in different houses. This house worked so well for us and the owner was so responsive to questions, this will be our first choice for future visits. So many things were provided that we forgot to bring along - very, very nice. Loved the SHARC passes and the whole group spent a day there. Can’t wait to repeat this experience.
This house was perfect for a family with kids. Master upstairs with kids’ rooms down was great. Easy access to a park and the SHARC. Bring extra towels, both bath and beach. Also bring extra cups if you have little ones. Other than that, awesome place to stay. :)
Property is a nice house in a nice area. We unfotunately rented during a kitchen remodel that wasn't complete before we arrived, which altered our meal plans. But aside from that, it accomodated 8 ok, we enjoyed our stay as we were mostly away from the housr each day.

Mediocre at best
The home is in a good location. It housed 2 families comfortably.
The first day within a couple hours of our stay the air conditioner went out and we were facing 95-99 degree days. When we spoke to the owner he said he would try to get someone out. We never heard from him again, he did not check in or offer fans in lieu of air conditioning. Or even offer a credit. That was a bit disappointing. Especially since they next time they reached out was the day we were leaving to ask if we were going to check out early because that is easier on their cleaners.
In addition the home is satisfactory at best and needs some upkeep done. The deck creeks very bad and feels like it may fall at any time, the blinds in the dining room still have a hole in them and other blinds downstairs need to be replaced. Most outlets do not hold the cords in them when you plug something in, batteries missing from remotes, not enough towels in home to accommodate the amount of people it sleeps, no hair shampoo or soap is provided in the bathrooms. Their was a hole in a dining chair and one of the outdoor chairs was torn through. The ping pong table was plus and most bikes worked. For the amount of money we paid to stay, it would be nice to feel like the owners care about the home and the people who are renting it, we will not be back again.

Great location!
Great location and layout. Plenty of games and puzzles. However, the kitchen tools were a bit lacking and several of the bicycles were not in good working condition.
We are two families (brothers), 4 adults, 4 tweens/teens. This house was PERFECT for us. Sleeping arrangements were great (kids fit in the bunk room), the upstairs open space was great for dining together/playing games. The location is perfect, close enough to bike to Fort Rock park (basketball court, awesome sand volleyball court, big grassy field) and the SHARC, also the little village. Bike paths are awesome. I thought we'd use the hot tub more, we just were too busy! The hot tub is nice, though. The cookware is ample (we made dinners for the 8 of us and 4 other family members without any difficulty--plenty of pots and pans for pasta, fajitas, etc). The kids used the downstairs PS3 a bit, and it worked well. We brought our own bikes, but there are bikes in the garage, as well as ping pong and foos ball. Definitely could repeat this particular house. The owner was very responsive to questions. When we stayed, there were only actually 7 SHARC passes, but I think she's going to remedy that situation.

Average Sunriver Home
If you are looking for an average Sunriver home to stay in, this would be good for you. We had a good time but there are some pros and cons to staying here. While our experience might be unique to us, here is our thoughts. Pros: Walking distance to SHARC and Fort Rock Park, Quiet area away from bike path, Communication with Owner was quick when we needed it, Games in garage, comfortable beds. Cons: Upon arrival there was food or gunk on dining table along with used kids toothpick on side table, broken mini blind in dining window, hot tub had smell but was serviced quickly then next day, NO kids bikes (this should be updated on the listing, but there were no bikes for our 9 -12 year olds, there was only 1 bike with training wheels) which means you should bring your kids bikes or rent there, lack of cooking supplies/utensils (ie. baking measuring cups), needed additional cleaning supplies (only 3 trash bags in house, no bbq grill brush), missing batteries in TV remotes (maybe cleaning crew should advise owner?)
