"I would book there again, Staff were friendly and did accommodate us when we wanted the exercise room opened a few minutes early than posted. Some equipment could use a refresh. The rooms were well-kept and clean and the AC worked fine. The breakfast was fresh with a broad range of options. "Second visit, but not as good as the first. Staff remain fabulous ( perhaps the odd grumpy face at breakfast) but the majority just can’t do enough for you. The pool area had the most awful music (quite loud bass beat) bashing out for the first 3 days, which ruined it for us. The average age of the hotel guests is probably 60-80 years, so many people were not happy. Pool side very busy towards the end of the week, unlike last time, but apparently there is a music festival on this weekend ( Oct 3rd) so try to miss these dates if you want peace and quiet. The location is perfect if you want to wander down to the town or out to the restaurants. Very clean. No hot drinks in the room, which I missed in the mornings. We may revisit, but not for a few years."

"I had a wonderful stay at Vale d'El Rei Hotel & Villas. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally clean, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was especially impressive, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The location is a little away from the main road, so having a car is definitely recommended, but that also gives the hotel a quiet and relaxing setting away from the crowds. Overall, everything was excellent, and I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again."

"We had a fantastic stay at Casa do Farol and really couldn’t fault it. The villa was absolutely spotless, beautifully presented and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. There was plenty of space for everyone, the beds were really comfortable and the pool area was fabulous — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.The location is excellent. There’s a local shop and a few restaurants just a short walk away, which was particularly handy on arrival day as we didn't arrive until late. Carvoeiro is around a 35-minute walk from the villa and is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants, bars and beautiful views.One of our favourite places was the Algar Seco restaurant and beach bar — the food was fabulous and the views were absolutely stunning. We also highly recommend the Lighthouse Bar and Grill, which is just a short walk from the villa and is a real must-visit.Casa do Farol was the perfect base for exploring the area, while also giving us a lovely, peaceful place to relax. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked to come back twice next year — in June and September!We’re already looking forward to returning and would happily recommend Casa do Farol to anyone looking for a beautiful villa in a great location."
