"We loved the location of this property as it was the center spot of where our family lives. The yard was nice as we brought our pup with us. Based on the listing that the property was on the lake we were looking forward to him being able to swim, yet were told "NO" by the locals as it is a duck itch water spot. "This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. "We celebrated my parents 70th anniversary at Rita's. We had the entire place. This is a very large property and it was perfect for our event. Very clean and well equipped. Mike the maintenance man stopped by to ensure all was good and said to call at any time if we needed anything. The pool was amazing and was loved by all from my 8 month old great grandson to my 89 year old mom. The young adults loved all the room for lawn games and the fire pit at night. "We stayed for 4 days so we could tour around Cape Breton. Great cozy little place to stay."

"Came for two nights, family of four. The cottage itself is very basic and rustic, although views on water are beautiful. The whole experience was negative for us after realizing that we were charged double the nightly rate we booked as well as being charged in USD instead of CAD as we had booked. Rates were changed and charged without our consent. The situation soured our experience considerably. Definitely do not recommend this property nor the platform."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time at this cottage. I would come back in a heartbeat. With a full kitchen we were able to make dinner and plan meals for our day trips. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of blankets for the chillier nights. The grounds were beautiful with lots of space for the kids to play. The back porch was a peaceful place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. I don’t have any negative comments, nothing could have been better. It was absolutely perfect. "
