Woolooma Glass House

Where the romance of remote getaway meets luxury accommodation -

Welcome to Woolooma Glass House, located in the idyllic Upper Hunter Valley Australia.

Designed by Sydney based architect John Suttor, and built in 1973, Woolooma Glass House is the epitome of a luxury escape to unwind and reconnect. The atmosphere of the interiors, so elementally linked to the landscape, is organic and grounded.

Australian-made furniture and layers of natural texture - think linen, soft fleece and tactile ceramics. At the heart of which is the sunken conversation pit wrapped around an old ship cauldron and repurposed as a gas firepit.

The expansive windows in this cosy zone bring the resounding beauty of the distant valleys and peaks indoors. The outlook is sweetened by the daily appearance of majestic wedge-tail eagles soaring past the mountain, just out of arm's reach.

Woolooma Glass House can accommodate up to 4 guests within its two queen bedrooms and one bathroom. The house has a full kitchen, including gas top oven, fridge and toaster.

You will arrive to the historical Woolshed, Belltrees Road, Belltrees. Here you will be met by the team, check in and load your luggage in to a Polaris buggy for an adventurous 30 minute transfer to Woolooma Glass House, located at Glass House Road, MT. Woolooma.

It’s moments like these that give Woolooma Glass House its luxurious air, offering a wealth of time and space and an exclusive connection to this stunning spread of Australian landscape. The property can only be accessed by a four-wheel drive handled by someone who knows the intricacies of the steep, rugged terrain. To ensure the safety of guests while also reducing the environmental impact of running the accommodation, the team chauffeur guests to the house in a Polaris ranger. it’s one of the most adventurous thirty-minute drives you will ever take. “You’ll see wildlife and really get the sense that you’ve left the city behind. Getting up to the house is a wild adventure, but once you are there, it’s very much about tranquility, peace, and reconnecting with yourself.”

During your stay, we encourage you to be out and amongst the mountain, immerse yourself in the natural wonders and watch the local wildlife - kangaroos, wombats, goats, eagles.

Take a long morning walk or hike of the mountain, and return to enjoy preparing your food by the team at Katering.

Katering At Home is a Sydney based, 5 star meal conveniently pre-prepared to heat in the comfort of your own kitchen at Woolooma Glass House - Think Osso Bucco Pie or Chicken, wild Mushroom and Spinach Lasagne, with your favourite accompaniment, while taking in the best view of the Upper Hunter Valley.
You are welcome to self cater but why would you when you can opt to purchase a full catering package for the weekend by ‘Katering At Home’, giving you a 5 star chef experience from breakfast to dinner.

Run on solar power and gas, the house is user friendly, minimal yet inviting and luxurious.
