Big Valley Visit
I was born in Lewistown and lived in both Allensville and Belleville...come back every year for our family reunion. Decided to find a spot where my daughter and grandchildren could stay with us too. It worked out great, lots of space and rooms for everyone.

Friends Weekend
The sunroom was the perfect place to visit with old friends. The house was as expected with no surprises. Everyone commented on the comfort of the beds. The host contacted me ahead of the stay and was quick to answer all my questions.

Beautiful experience to be had in Belleville
Boasting beautiful views of predominantly Amish farmland, Big Valley is surrounded by picturesque mountain sprawls and rolling hills. Through the many lovely windows of this spacious home, the views are enjoyable when blanketed in snow or under blue skies and fluffy white clouds skimming overhead. We enjoyed the cozy den during the snowstorm that greeted us on Friday upon arrival, then woke up to watch a gorgeous sunrise peeking over the mountain across the field and delicate fog that danced across it. By afternoon, the snow was melted and the fields of gold and green were waving at us, along with the freshly hung laundry on every clothesline. The sun-kissed hills smiled at us as we drove around the roads, waving to the horse and buggies that were our only traffic in and out of the town. The signs posted locally are the encouraging Word of God, which leaves visitors feeling blessed to experience this heavenly place. The home itself was stocked with all one might need, no matter how well-prepared you thought your packing had been. A large family can enjoy the layout of this thought-out design, with decor that is timeless and amenities that are modern enough to not take away from the experience while still providing a comfortable stay. The bathrooms are updated and clean, the beds are comfortable and the overall aesthetic is welcoming and peaceful. We came for State College, but we will be back for Belleville. Be sure to sign the guest book which has been going for decades!

Love the location in a beautiful valley
The house has everything you need, although the sleeping arrangements are great in the 3 bedrooms with queen beds but the hideabeds and bunk beds are uncomfortable. The living spaces need updated and more comfortable seating. We would rent here again.

We Loved The Countryside
All was satisfactory, other than the weather, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Mennonite families that we met, the beauty of the valley, the plentiful horse and buggies, and the opportunity to reflect on a simpler way of life, and a gracious way to live.

Beautiful Location
The property is in a beautiful location at the base of Stone mountian. The surrounding properties are owned by the Amish so the only traffic to worry about are the horse and buggies. The house is older but well maintained and air conditioned. The back room is where we spent most our time when we were there since it has open views and the furniture is cozy. Our family highly recommends.

In the boondocks
Home was adequate and reasonably clean. It was misrepresented on VRBO as to the distance and drive time from State College. We had a much longer drive than expected. Overall suggestions for homeowner would be to have some wine glasses, repair coffee grinder which was broken, And have the beds made for the arriving guest. Very tacky to have to make our own beds Upon arrival. Maybe that’s the way they assure you the sheets are clean but I would rather assume they are clean with the beds made.

We reported this to Evolve and they contacted you regarding the discrepancy well before the stay. Our host and cleaner puts clean sheet sets on the beds in order to ensure clean sheets for our guests. We will check on the coffee grinder and replace it if necessary. Thank you for your feedback!"

Amish Country Getaway
Hi. This property overlooks a valley of farms. It was scenic and also interesting. We enjoyed our stay. We were in the area for a Penn State event. I will note that the state of the kitchen was not on par with other kitchens in houses we've rented and was not well equipped. Given the price, I expected more. Still, it was neat to be in that area, and I appreciate getting that opportunity.

Great views of the surroundings farms and landscape. Close to State College.
Great location for our football weekend for Penn State game! 40 minute drive, but worth it! Loved the night time atmosphere and the house had everything needed for 9 adults and 2 teens to enjoy for our stay!
