My husband and I stayed at the hotel for the Essence Festival. About a 20-minute drive from New Orleans. The staff was amazing. Definitely a good stay for the price and breakfast was amazing.

In the middle of no where

When I arrived at the hotel there where bugs everywhere on the outside of the hotel. I don't know if it was because it was so secluded but that was a no go for me. Once I made it pass the bugs to check in to received my key to my room, the key didn't work. I had to walk down 3 times for my key to actually work. I was frustrated at that point and didn't wont to stay. Then once inside the room it smelled like mildew. I was fed up and checked out medially. The only thing that was good was the staff.

I was charged more when I arrived. The air conditioner in our first room was horrible, we got switched to another room only to have the same problem. The towels smell of oil. The only working ice machine is located on the first floor. The property is located far outside of Belle Chasse.

My fabulous Mardi Gras stay

My stay was great and enjoyable. The breakfast bar was delicious and lobby was well kept and clean. Im ready to book my next stay for next year Mardi Gras holiday. I encourage everyone to give this hotel a try.

It's nice but too far from the city if you want to party you have to drive 30 minutes back to the hotel too long

I made reservations For this hotel/motel because on their website it says “Pet friendly” no where on the did it state that they didn’t accept felines, mind you- I tell the lady (lady I spoke to through Expedia) over the phone that I have 1 cat and 1 dog and she just carries on. I don’t even think she knew they didn’t allow cats... Well I get there the next day after driving 7 hours (with a 26’ U-Haul, my car hitched behind it and my husband with the other car to find out they weren’t cat friendly. I was exhausted from driving. I couldn’t even think about being angry or upset. I was thinking about how it’s almost 9 pm and wanted sleep not just for myself but for my tired husband, my micro- Pomeranian, and my Calico cat. The lady at the front desk showed no care at all and told me about their policy and sat back down. I get it, at work I follow my company’s policies to a T. But she could’ve made an effort as to showing maybe just a bit of empathy. But it is what it is, not everywhere I go will have good customer service. Disappointed Customer

The location of the hotel stinks! There is nothing around there. The breakfast was horrible. There are zero amenities, unless you want to to count the one grill out of the 2 that worked. There was one cleaning lady that was super nice and the front desk ladies were nice too.

For the price, you can’t beat it !!!

The hotel was very nice. Despite some stains on the rugs and the distance to the city (they can’t control) overall we had a great time. The breakfast is way better than expected and has so many choices. Beds were very comfy and staff was very nice and pleasant. We would definetly stay here again.

Lots of Deficiencies

Door dead bolt did not work. Microwave and coffee maker were plugged into a defective adapter. Had to remove the adapter and plug one of them directly into the wall outlet. Light over the window did not work. TV cable channel identifiers in the banner at the top of the screen were incorrect and did not identify the actual channel being viewed. How the heck does that happen? Some channels did not play at all ("lack of signal"). No wash cloths in the bathroom. Breakfast was so-so.

Nice hotel in a quiet area

This is a very nice hotel in a quite area of Belle Chase. We do not enjoy the city life but had to visit New Orleans for a dance competition. It was worth the drive to Belle Chase where we could wander along the river, do some alligator watching, visit the park with the kids and have some peace and quiet when we didn't have to be downtown. The rooms are updated and very comfortable. The staff was quite pleasant. Large, well lit parking lot. The microwave and fridge in the room was helpful on reducing costs, as was the free breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
