"We stayed in a king-size cabin right by the water and it was very comfortable. The mattress is great. The AC works well. It has an attached bathroom, which is pretty basic, but it gets the job done. The location and the view and the access to the water to go for a swim is unbeatable. This is not a luxury lodge, but it is very clean and well maintained. Tomas the owner is super helpful. We did not stay for breakfast, but they do have breakfast on site. This is a great place to stay if you’re...

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Bellavista?
The best time to go to Bellavista, Costa Rica, is during the dry season, which runs from December to April.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days and lower humidity, making it superb for enjoying the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. The Pacific Ocean waters are calmer and clearer, which is ideal for snorkelling, diving, and boat tours. This period also aligns with the best time for wildlife spotting, as animals are more active and visible.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the pleasant weather for relaxing on the beaches or exploring the rainforests without the interruption of heavy rain. The clear skies also offer stunning sunsets over the Pacific, superb for an evening stroll.

For families, the dry season offers reliable weather for all sorts of adventures. From zip-lining through the canopy to horse riding along the beach, you can plan your days with confidence.
