"I really wanted to post a negative review of this cabin because I want it to remain a secret and available down the road, but I won't do that. It was lovely. Evenings and nights sitting on the covered porch watching for fireflies and listening to the bullfrogs was an amazing experience. It was extremely peaceful and it had a hot tub. "Firehouse Inn is filled with olde world charm. Hand painted walls, claw foot chairs, Bose audio system for easy listening, TV and a fireplace in large living room. Dining area can seat multiple guests in comfort. The hospitality is amazing! Donna’s cooking skills are mouthwatering and Mary is the go to person to get you settled in. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed, lounge chair with ottoman and spotless bathroom. Shower was large enough for two people 👍! Will definitely visit again."

"This was the perfect place for my needs during my two-week stay! The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, ovenware, silverware, and dinnerware--AND wine glasses! The only thing lacking were steak knives, but there is a knife block with carving and paring knives, which we used. The hot tub was clean and ready for use when I arrived. The grill on the back porch functioned properly and was a handy tool for grilling burgers, chicken, and steaks. The morning and evening temperatures were marvelous for sitting on the back porch in the morning and front porch in the evening. We enjoyed watching the family of deer come trotting through the side property down into the yard and across the street. The walking trail is directly behind the house, easy to access, and the shade keeps your midday walks cool. Next door, we enjoyed meeting our friendly neighbors and their barnyard animals and dog, Rocket. The bedrooms, located on either side of the family area, are quiet (the master bedroom is huge and offers direct access to the front porch without having to go through the living area) and the sound-proofness of the log walls keeps the outside sounds minimized. The only issue on arrival was the gate code had been changed, but Bobby responded quickly to that. Attempts at getting the front door lock to engage were unsuccessful; maybe the battery needed replacement. Luckily, someone was always home, but this is a gated neighborhood and it felt very safe. Beautiful home & surroundings!"

"This was AMAZING!! There is an adjacent cabin, practically attached, but no one rented while I was there...QUITE QUIET!! Bedroom is up 8 stairs, while the only bathroom is DOWNstairs, so I had to go up & down at night. But private wrap-around porch & lovely walking trail. I was a solo 70·yr·old woman & felt very safe. CLEAN, except for flies in windows...but that's to be expected in a cabin.Well lit & internet was speedy. Kitchen was spacious & CLEAN-CLEAN...same for bathroom. If there'd been a more convenient bathroom on 2nd (bedroom) floor, I'd've given it 100 stars, but I enjoyed my stay & Landlord was VERY GRACIOUS & easily booked another night for me!! I'LL STAY AGAIN!! GREAT VALUE for the "

"This cabin was everything I expected and more. Beautiful inside and out, the entire space was warm and inviting. The trails led to beautiful destinations. The glass chapel and gazebo were my favorites. I have to say that it had what I wanted most. Quiet. I will definitely return here again."

"Thermostat broken, it was either too cold or too hot. The house needs a deep clean. Very dirty. Coffee maker broken. Washing machine moldy. Oven is disgusting. I go to visit 3-4 times a year. This is a high priced rental so expected it to be well kept which it is not. "
